So, my daughter was slinging words the other night, that if I really liked her, I'd take her to a football game... Well, that was the day of the Rams-Hawks game, so likely that wasn't happening Sunday... and we have joked around about catching the Rams at home... Fast forward a couple of days... So - with Seattle going down there (from the Portland area, LA is "down there..") we just might make this work. She'll have the Seahawk jersey... hopefully, I can still squeeze into the Gurley jersey! (TGIII, I ain't!)!!

So, between game seats, a hotel and airline tickets that is a rather tall commitment for a football game (well, for some it is, for others, well, chump change...). But hey, it is father-daughter time... can't put a price on that! (and she is not a 10 year old or anything... she is 30 and I am old enough to retire - just not rich enough yet! :) ). So - if there is any advice that you think I could use to improve the experience, throw it down! Where would you purchase tickets from - what is a "good location" versus some other location.... (LA side, visitor side?) and so on. Probably looking to spend about $300 for a pair of seats..... you got insight on that - that'd be great.

I'll probably be a lot more jacked up around November 10th!! HA-hA!! :)

Pay the extra for home side..and avoid the end zone seats, especially higher up.

Those typically have very rowdy fans (I sat there for a Raider game as a kid and that was an experience I'll never forget) and there are videos of drunk Rams fans going at it up there.

Also, and this is big, unless it's a cold day, you just bake in the sun on the visitor's side.

The game starts at 1pm, typically, but it's not long before the shadows creep in and if it's warm, you feel like you're in an oven on the visitor's side. (Sat there for an LA Express game when Steve Young was the QB... was fun, but I came out a lobster)

Also, don't be afraid to be a little bit up. The Coliseum is a flatter bowl type stadium from the old days and if you want decent field views, end zone to end zone, it's helpful to be a few rows up. There aren't tiers like in the newer stadiums so you don't want to be too far away, but if you're too close, you actually miss some things because there's just too many bodies in the way.

Not an expert on the Coliseum, by any stretch, but I been there enough to have a decent feel.

Also, don't try to park there. It's pretty much a zoo, not the best neighborhood and it's getting very common to just get an Uber in and out.

She can’t go in a Seahawk Jersey. Relationships take two and she needs to meet you half way. She doesn’t need to wear a Rams jersey, but she can’t be wearing a Hawks jersey if you are footing the bill.

I haven’t lived in LA since 1962, when I was a toddler Ram. In fact, I’ve lived closer to them when they were in St.Louis.

My girlfriend, now wife and I drove up to see ED and the boys beat the Cardinals in ‘86.

So I went to my first Ram game in the Coliseum last year for the 9er game. My wife went with me and she had gifted me the tickets for my birthday.

Sat on the Rams side, 2/3rds up. Brilliant sunshine!

We parked our rental car in an LA Metro park and ride station and took the train in with other Ram fans. It was a great experience. If my first experience is the norm, I would do the Metro thing every time. Seemed very safe to bring a lady, be it wife, daughter or friend.

She bought the tickets from the Rams site.

No Seahawk jerseys though...can’t have that.

Have fun!

Oh, I will be taking my Granddaughter to her first Arkansas Razorback game this Saturday night!

It will be epic.

Hope yours is too.

Stay away from the seats on the side of the field near where they put the "luxury boxes" up on the field. My original spot on the field was over there. I gave some friends of mine tickets to the first game after the relo (ironically, against the Seahawks, and they're Seahawk fans) and they said it was positively miserable because the sun was beating on them the whole time, they had a crazy walk to get in because the closest gate was reserved for VIP's, etc. My current seats are closer in on the other side, and the times I've given out the tickets, the feedback was it was comfortable due to the shade (and I guess the seats are padded over on that side).

Thanks for the info .. I'll probably spring for tickets this week .. I'll probably research it to death ..

Only ever been to one NFL game . Our Telcom carrier took us to Seattle about ten years ago... Qwest then .. Got to stand on sidelines during warm ups .. But theoretically, I was on the same field as Kurt Warner ... My man crush as my wife says... I would never say that . . And got to sit in Corp boxes... I'm guessing the cheap seats ain't like that... !!

Depending on where you are staying, the Metro Rail can be a great way to get down to the game. It's like $5. She might want to cover the jersey for the ride though. :)

Dude. Your daughter cannot be a Hawks fan. You need to step up and fix that!

I'm married with 3 kids. Son now 21, and 2 18 year old twin girls.

They are all Rams fans and rock Rams jerseys at games.

Now, it wasn't always easy. I had to threaten all of their livelihoods over the years. Take food off their table, or make them pull weeds, etc. But, in the end I won and they are diehard Rams fans now like me.

It's not too late to fix your mess! Straighten out that daughter of yours and get her on the Rams bandwagon. No time like the present!

(All in fun here!!!)
