Well this sucks. Allen is older but his sack totals haven't slowed down yet. Bad news in 2014.
The only good thing i suppose is that when our more "successful" division rival teams start plugging their younger FA departures with older hired specialists it hurts them in the long run.

All a bonehead move like this is going to do is improve their pass rush, making an already elite defense even more formidable.
Don't the Seahawks know it's stupid to waste money on free agents?

Suckers.

I actually don't want either player, so Clowney is all yours.

I do recognize the fact that Seattle just helped themselves with this signing though.

I get the impression I should be incredibly insulted.

I guess I should have thrown in something about Bradford while I was at it.
Just busting your balls MJ. I think its a great signing for a team that has lost FA's coming off a SB win. I had hopes the Rams might get him because IMO he's got a year or two of solid, productive pass rushing left. But...lets say hypothetically that Snead plans to draft Clowney at #2. Where would you put J.Allen with Quinn,Long and Hayes? Talk about a logjam at DE. Overkill and a waste of money.

No worries.

Honestly, and I don't expect anybody to agree, I'd rather take Allen for a year or two and address the OL with the number two pick. DL is absolutely the Rams strongest group, while the OL is an injury away from being a disaster again.

That sucks. Their DE's are upgraded from their core last. However, I beleive their secondary and DT's are downgraded. No doubt building the trenches for pounding the rock is the correct course of action. We waer them out, their rush isn't as stout.
