These rankings are crap this time of year. Different ones base it off of different aspects such as bias, sexy offseasons, or lamely off of the standings of last year. ESPN consistently gives us the lowest grades, 23. Mid teens seem to be the most popular trend.

Something I found interesting was BR had the NYJ at 32, and ESPN had them at 13. Lol... What?

The highest I saw was #9 on Walterfootball. That was a good read.

The most surprising thing was I saw Green Bay and Chicago hovering around the top 5. I don't buy Chicago at all. Their defense is weak and they lost Peppers and Melton to FA. Peppers went to GB of all places. They have a dangerous offense, though.

Packers are lucky they have an average schedule and a division filled with bad defensive play. I read something funny on Walterfootball. "The real winners of the Eric Ebron selection was the Packers and Bears. They'll continue to throw all over the Lions secondary." Too true...

The NFCN and NFCE are similar in style points. Both divisions are put their money in offense, but the NFCN is way better. This division lands super stars while the NFCLeast just lets their managers continue to fail.

The AFC is pretty average to weak overall. I think Broncos seperated themselves from Patsies who have a firm grasp on the #2 spot. I'm pulling for Cinci. Cinci was consistently in the top 10.

Rams look like the biggest risers, easily, but I'm not sure you could call us a "surprise team." The NFL took notice when we drafted Donald. There's any other underdog team with a roster remotely close to ours. But hey, if we make the Playoffs in this division then that would be the best story.

ARZ got a lot of praise. However, I beleive they'll win 8-9 games this year. Their defense has two sets of huge shoes to fill with the Washington suspension and Dansby to CLE. Their OL looks a lot better with Vehdeer and Cooper starting this year.

It was interesting to see Denver was #1 on ESPN. They've done nothing I know of to improve their running game and list Decker. D. Ware looked washed up late in the season, but he won't play every down.

Seriously. Dansby was a darkhorse DPOY candidate with 6.5 sacks, 19 PDs, and 4 Ints last year. Washington is one of the best off-LOS blitzing LBers in the league. Who do they even have at ILB right now, that's two pretty big holes to fill.

Their LB's will be heavily tested when they play us, too. Their DT's will be neutralized by Robinson and Saffold. They're in trouble with their front 7. That's the first time I can say that in 5 years or more.

Screw ESPN. We're a top potential top-10 team. Unfortunately, so are the other 3 in our division.

The Patsies, Packers & Bears win 6-7 games with our schedule!

It's crazy to think that just a few years ago that the NFC West was considered the worst conference in the NFL. Each team would now be no. 1 if they were played in the NFC East or AFC South.

I believe we would easily be in the top 15 if we were in another division. Heck, if we were in the NFC east I bet we'd be top 5 or 6 in the NFC.

I wouldnt put the Rams i the top 10 until they start winning consistently. Sure, they have made improvements on paper, but that doesnt put W's on the board

That's it! Put St. Lou back in the NFC East so we can kick the crap out of the G-girls, Dedskins and Cowpies. We'd be 14-2 in that shitty division.

L.A. "Dolla" Bills to the NFC West

The Bears as a top 5 team? Maybe a top 5 passing game but if we played them again this year, I bet we could have Stacy, Cunningham, and Mason combine for 250 yards rushing, 3 TDs.

As for Denver, they signed a bunch of washed up stars on the verge of retirement and suddenly they are #1 after an embarrassment of a game in the SB? Please. They might be competing for the top spot in the AFC but they would probably be 4th seed this year in the NFC.

The Cardinals aren't the same team that finished the season last year. I think we are the better team. Holes at LB, an old QB, another failed former Steeler RB to split carries with Ellington, and a draft that did nothing much to help their situation.
