ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Wow. Ten full quarters of football between the Rams and 49ers. Rams remain unbeaten in the division at 4-0-1. And they remain in the playoff hunt. They are playing what I call "relevant December football." It makes next week's game at Buffalo very important.

This Rams team is still flawed. There is a need for more playmakers on offense (although the 49ers defense makes a lot of offenses look flawed). But, they hang in and battle and find ways to compete.

Greg Zuerlein's 54-yard field goal is the second longest game winning overtime field goal in NFL history. And he keeps adding to his NFL rookie record with every field goal made beyond 50 yards. He made two more today to run his total to seven.

Jeff Fisher made the right calls in overtime. He decided to run Steven Jackson on third and four to eat clock and get some yards back. And he passed on the temptation to go for it on fourth and inches. Of course, Zuerlein rewarded his head coach by drilling the game winner. D'Marco Farr and I had another enjoyable Sunday in the broadcast booth. This team has been fun to watch develop.
