Andy Dalton signs 6 year, $96 million contract extension. Sam doesn't seem like such a bad deal to me. Who knows?

My understanding is it is a deal that is backloaded with a fairly small percentage guaranteed.
Id take Sam all day.

Blows me away. Andy Dalton? I hear Mike & Mike talk about it and Golic said he'd take Dalton over Sam. Drives me nuts.

I would take Dalton over Bradford too but I think the Rams are already at the ginger quota and would have to pay a luxury tax if they go over right........

As would I. From a non biased pov, Dalton is a better QB than Bradford. Tough as nails, and has had 3 good seasons, progressing in each.

I don't really disagree, and in fact don't understand why people are so down on Dalton. If he was the Rams' QB, he'd be getting a shit ton of defense for having to throw to the likes of Amendola and Hoomanawanui as opposed to A.J. Green and Jermaine Gresham.

Oh wait...

All weapons equal and I'm taking Sam Bradford every day and twice on Sundays.

I expect Sam's contract to be right around Dalton's.

This is going to be Sam's breakout season. I predict he'll be getting paid significantly more than Dalton, with better terms and more guaranteed money after being regular season and SB MVP. I hope I'm not wrong.

I'm not a aware of any way to try and compare the two without the whole "take this quarterback and put him with this team" hypothetical game, and I'm not any good at that.

What I would be happy with is the Rams executing as well on defense and in the running game as the Bengals have in the regular season the past couple. They may not have AJ Green, but the rest of the stuff I feel like they can do.

I don't think highly of Dalton at all. He's just not... good. I mean, he's not bad, but he's a guy who makes his bones hucking jump balls to AJ Green. I think Bradford is a much better QB.

Could always be wrong, but that's my view.

Yup, just too much to ignore having an elite WR to throw to. But even though Britt may not be as good as Green, it'll be close enough that Bradford's numbers will easily be top 10 this year. His rating was already higher than Dalton's last year.

From what I've heard, seen, and read Dalton hasn't won in the play-offs, and doesn't do well against elite teams. So I'll stick with Sam!! ( Dalton's contract is back-loaded, and they can loss him after two years with-out costing them much!)

Yep.

A completion % hardly better than Sam's, hardly any more yards throwing to Green, Gresham, new toy Gio.

His playoff blunders are the big kicker though.

There's not much question for me. I'd take Sam well ahead of Dalton. We are finally building a team with some talent. If our O-line can gel, Sam will shine.
