Saints release 4 defensive starters

They announced they are releasing Jabari Greer, Roman Harper, Will Smith and won't re-sign Jonathan Vilma. Saves them a lot of money but damn! I didn't expect that.

We did just hire Williams.

Hmmm I'd figure the Rams might be interested in at least signing one of these players, but all look like they are least 30 years old. Roman Harper could be a solid signing since we could use safety help, but then again that takes playing time away from TJ McDonald. If the price is right, one of these veteran players might be a solid addition to our young team.

True, however given what happened in Bountygate (Williams turning over on some players??) I'm not sure that would be a positive for us on that front.
