Again, the topic is based on the assertion that Kroenke sees him in the Elway role
The article, your brothers on the forum almost all say he needs to work in to the role. Don't take turfshowtimes as gospel believe in ROD :) Nobody agrees with TST.

Never been a Manning fan and hate the idea of him a Ram. That being said, I would prefer bring in Marshall Faulk before I would want Manning.....just my personal opinion.

I'm not sure Faulk is interested in a front office job. But I would value his opinion of PM very highly, as MF played with PM and if MF thinks PM is qualified. Why isnt he hired yet?

Never been on TST, and still have no clue where you're coming from.
You're responding to and have read an article of TST and arguing with me about a TST report. I thought it was simple where I was coming from. This TST report you're arguing with me about states that it's possible the Rams could be offering Manning a role like what Elway has with the Bronco's. Most of us here all say the same thing. That's great but we would be better off if he worked towards that kind of position not be given it right away. You say that he shouldn't be given that kind of a job not even after working towards it at lesser jobs.

With you CG.Wouldn't mind him taking on a smaller role in the
organisation. But to give him Elway power, right off the bat,
would make me as nervous as a prostitute in church.

There are plenty of prostitutes who attend church, and they never look nervous to me.

I would rather see Omaha Manning working with Goff than see him in the front office

but what do I know anyway

I tell you what, PM is more ready for a role like this than Eric "The Great" Dickerson, and I see TONS of fans calling for ED to be brought in for a role in the Front Office. Manning is not only an accomplished NFL HOF QB but also someone who has done great in his business ventures. His family's football tutoring school has also been a success. So he alreay has more experience than even John Lynch for this type of role. I would be open to it. Just another sane, stabilizing voice in the Front office IMHO.

Peyton Manning’s first full season away from the NFL is in the books, and while the future Hall of Famer has been very quiet since retiring after his Super Bowl 50 win, there’s a chance he’s considering a return to football.

Rumors have begun to circulate that the Los Angeles Rams are targeting the legendary quarterback for a front office role.

Chad Forbes @NFLDraftBites
Give it Time. I'm told Rams Owner Stan Kroenke very interested in Peyton Manning taking on John Elway type role in LA.

No credible sources have reported this yet, but it doesn’t seem entirely outrageous. Manning was spotted back in March spending time at the Rams facilities, as well as dining with head coach Sean McVay and a few of the team’s high profile free agent signings – including offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth and former Bronco, Kayvon Webster.

On the surface, the Rams seem like an odd choice for Manning – who never even played in the NFC, and has had no public connection to Stan Kroenke or the Rams organization outside of the rumors that he considered come out retirement to play for the team last season.

However if he is considering an Elway-type job in the NFL, which he’s certainly suited for, the Rams are a low key perfect choice. Clearly the Broncos don’t need him, which leaves the Colts as the only other obvious option. And let’s be honest, a position in that front office under Jim Irsay isn’t exactly a dream job.

And while the breakup between the Colts and Manning was a cordial one, no one would blame him if he has since soured a bit on the team that embarked on their “suck for Luck” campaign before Manning had even laid down on the operating table.

If Manning wants to help build a young team with a high ceiling in a strong market, the Rams are actually a great choice. The Jeff Fisher era is over, the coaching staff has been overhauled and a behemoth new stadium is just two years away.

They still have major kinks to work out but the Rams boast more potential now than they have in years – and one way they can continue that upward trend is by landing the very best people to work in their front office.
This ^^ would make for an even Bigger Media Event/ Circus sense 'Broadway Joe Willy Namath' came to town!!(y)(y)

Could not stand when the Rams acquired Namath, they gave away Ron Jaworski & James Harris who were superior to Namath & the little engine that couldn't Pat Haden. Never understood the love for Haden Rosenbloom loved him Chuck Knox not so much, maybe it was the Rhode Scholar thing, but Pat Haden had the worst arm in the history of the NFL and had no business being a starter in the NFL. One of Rosenbloom's major gaffe's that carried over to Georgia as let she let Vince Ferragamo go to the CFL because of Pat Haden who had a horrific season in 1981 and finally did the franchise a favor and retired. I blame Pat Haden for many things not only because of having a peashooter for an arm, but also being like a cheap sweater that keeps shrinking after every wash.

Namath was so done and the Rams started a run of picking up washed up Quarterbacks....Namath, Pastorini, Bert Jones & Steve Bartkowski to name a few.
