RGIII and Luck would go 1 and 2 in this draft

Luck would go 1 overall in this draft. But I don't think RG3 would be looked at as superior to the top 3 in this group.

RG3 came out of an offense with zero positives for playing in the NFL just like these others. He went high due to his arm and 4.4 mobility and really has nothing over any of these guys ranking them straight up. Put Lynch in that Baylor offense that RG3 played in at that point in time and he'd be even more overhyped than RG3 was. Lynch only gives up a little mobility to RG3, comparable arms, but is massive in comparison. Wentz is also an enormous QB with mobility and a great arm. Goff gives up noticeable mobility in comparison to him, but is taller and more accurate. RG3 is built like a DB and clearly has that risk for taking the punishment of the NFL given his tendency to tuck the ball and run. Goff is also built slim, but is more of a scramble to get it down the field guy. Either way, all three of them are in the same type of grading range as RG3 IMO.

Fans forget that knock on RG3, where teams knew he was going to need time to play in an NFL offense. Skins wanted him early because they planned to run an offense he could handle and it worked that first year. But he was nowhere near NFL ready and the Rams knew that and capitalized accordingly.

This is hindsight based analysis. People didn't know back then how bad that Baylor offense was for preparing QBs. It was early in Briles's tenure. If we had the same knowledge now that we had back then, RGIII would have been a top pick again. No doubt in my mind.

Not true brother. Teams knew damn well that offense was extremely simplified and knocked him for it just like they did with Aaron Rogers. Teams aren't stupid, they know what system players are playing in.

The ones that don't know are the media at times, as well as most fans.

Teams didn't know nearly the extent of it back then. Otherwise, your argument would be undermined. If teams knew and were that desperate to get him then they would be just as desperate this year. That was not a weak draft.

If you think a team could finish a chalkboard and interview session with a QB and not know that you are deluding yourself brother.

No worries, we definitely disagree on this one.

Eh, there's a big difference between what a guy says and does in interviews and on the chalkboard and what they do on the field.
