Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III earned some bronze hardware in winning the Heisman Trophy during his final season at Baylor University.

Now Griffin is getting some more bronze to commemorate his career with the Bears.

According to David Ubben of FOX Sports Southwest, Baylor is dedicating a bronze statue of Griffin outside their new stadium in Waco.

The 9.5-foot statue of Griffin will be installed the week of Baylor’s first game on August 31 against Southern Methodist University. It will be located on the stadium’s south end zone plaza.

Griffin is the only player in Baylor history to win the Heisman Trophy. During his final season, Griffin completed 72.4 percent of his passes for 4.293 yards, 37 touchdowns and six interceptions in 13 games. Griffin also rushed for 699 yards and 10 touchdowns before being selected by the Redskins with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.

They should leave the scaffolding on one of the legs.

Glad to hear RG3 is finally getting a body in the right proportions to match his head.

I disagree with making statues of People unless they did something great for som walk of humanity. I can understand a statue of John Wooden or Gandhi, or other people that were great leaders, or influential for the good of mankind but making a statue of a guy because he happened to be a good athlete? Absurd.

Maybe we should have a statue of Randy Moss in Minnesota, or of OchoCinco in Cinncinnati.

Outside their new stadium? Hmm. Maybe it can be a dual purpose thing with a picnic area on his oversized ego of a head?

If you drive behind OU's stadium it's full busts of the Heisman winners. Sam Bradford is included. And Adrian Peterson's should be there too, shame he finished 2nd to Matt freakin Leinart.
