i just am amazed no reporter has the backbone to ask the question we all deserve to hear the answer for!

"Coach Fisher, you picked all the players and coaches and the team has taken in your identity. You have been in this league a very long time and are a few games away from being the most losing coach in NFL history. This year you are doing an excellent job of what you historically do best. Fielding an average, undisciplined, penalty prone, anemic offense football team. You always have excuses and could probably tape and replay your post game press conferences in duplicate. They are identical . Is there any advice you seek, or deep introspection that you conduct to determine why you can't be a good NFL winning coach? What do you feel you need to change and what changes have and will be done by you?"

LOL if they ask that it will be the last time Fisher ever calls on them.

And it would be easier just to ask if he was stepping down to avoid officially becoming the most losing coach in NFL history.

It might be the last time they are asked, but they would keep their job. I would imagine they would become pretty polpular on all the sports networks for asking such a direct, difficult and well deserved question! I hear you but I would ask it for sure! He is paid a lot of money and everyone is suffering under his control. I used to be his biggest fan until this year.

how about...

Jeff you have had a noteworthy long career as a head coach. What advice would you give a young NFL coach that finds himself struggling to get his team into the playoffs year after year. What's the secret to keeping a job with a mediocre team.

Dude I'm so surprised the LA media hasn't ripped his ass on this yet? I guess they aren't tough directly to somebody like the New York reporters are for instance? I been waiting to read somebody just straight up asking a blunt question along these lines. Especially about his ability to evaluate/ develop talent.

How about "Help us understand that the one thing you have preached to us is you want to own the line of scrimmage, however that does not happen consistently". How come after 5 years, you havent fixed it"?

So far the LA Media has been as tame as the STL media was. Tough words here and there in the paper or on radio or TV - but nice and buttery in the press conferences. It does seem though that the mood is turning to some extent.

I dunno... Bonsignore basically called for his head after 7 games!

If things don't change for the better soon, it'll only get worse.

Yeah, it's not NY or Boston... but LA is a huge market... the media won't stand for this kind of play for long.

The disturbing thing is... Fisher pays no attention to any of it. He's gonna do what he wants and - at least for now -- there doesn't appear to be anything stopping him from doing just that.

He had his chance, this is his 5th year and if he doesn't make the playoffs, Demoff should give him his walking papers and unfortunately start over with a new coaching staff.

Agreed. I live in NJ and Kim Jones and Wetherford do a Monday show breaking down the Giant game from the weekend. Themselves and the callers are amazed Fisher still has a job and can't believe what's going on with Goff. Fisher and Keenum were absolutely roasted during the entire show. Everyone pretty much said the talent on this team is being wasted with Fisher as coach and Goff sitting on the bench in favor of Keenum.

Meh, Fisher will find a way to win 4 more games, go 7-9 and keep his job. I want to type all these things about him and the team. But they've taken the energy out of me. Its no fun rooting for this team.

Oh man, I was listening to that as well. (Kim Jones is Excellent by the way) They had DRC on and the 3 of them had to keep themselves from laughing when they were talking about Keenum and his lolly pop passes
Its been a rough couple days, normally the Giants fans and media want to take credit for everything under the sun but even they have a hard time trying to take credit for that win.
We are about to reach uncharted waters as David Shula had been the only coach in the last 50 years to keep his job after starting with 4 losing seasons. He got fired after his 7th game in year 5.
So the Fisher legacy continues to be built.... Seemingly the rest of the league wonders why too

It's sad when the opposing teams fans call in a bring up these very valid points that even they can see. It's sad really.

The trade Fisher made is keeping him alive no matter what at the moment. What coach wants to come in and develop this rookie QB that we couldn't even get onto the field or try to put a new system in place with extremely limited draft capital to do it?
