It was said last night that the Cowboys figured out that you take away RG3's first passing option and then focus on him as a runner. It apparently worked as RG3 looked pretty bad last night. He should have had at least 2 more picks. There are a lot of smart coaches in the NFL, they work extremely hard at what they do and have great resources to get things right. That's why they do what they do, and why the media guys mostly just talk BS.

Here's how the Read Option Diaper Dandies are doing this year compared to last year...
Player..........2013.....2012
Kaepernick...83.9......98.3
RG3..............80.4.....102.4
Wilson..........92.6.....100.0

Wilson is more of a scrambler than a read option guy. Still, he is doing better than I thought he would. Wilson is one cool customer.

BTW, here is how a non-gimmick 2nd year QB has done in comparison...
Player..........2013.....2012
Luck............94.1......76.5

Another "non-gimmick" 2nd year QB:
Player..........2013.....2012
Tannehill......85.5......76.1

Good one, CG. I like Tannehill, he may end up being better than RG3 and Kaepernick when all is said and done.

Many of us knew this would be the case. NFL DCs are at this level for a reason. That hip, new, flashy new "read option" will run its course within a couple more seasons because it will no longer work, the QBs in it will be banged up enough not to want to run it anymore, and Ds will have fully adapted. A passing fad for sure.
