First Rams possession in the third quarter. Rams put on a clinic in the last minutes of the first half with a huge stop and TD drive to nearly tie it up. Now they've got a nice drive going and are poised to score and go ahead. If this play looks familiar it should as it is the same off-tackle run to the right we've seen from earlier albeit with a slightly different formation (same basic play with TEs in different configurations). Key on this run play (which has been very productive) is Hav getting second level on Wagner and the kick-out by the TE. It's given Seattle probs all game long and does again here...

Situation:

Pre-snap:

At the snap Wagner is calling something out which this time will put him on the wrong side of Hav. Blythe gets a quick assist on Clowney from Hav. Everett again has 50 on the edge. Jet action is a fake, nobody even pays attention to it in fact 56 seems more concerned with the boot action and holds until he sees Goff doesn't have the ball:
1570383242245.png

Right after the handoff we see textbook execution. All the blocks are made and Hav is about to put a whole lotta pork in Wagner's face. 30 on defense knows he's got 30 incoming lol:
1570383611037.png

As Gurley hits the LOS Wagner gets to Hav's outside shoulder. But this time there's no help from the interior:

TG smells endzone as he breaks it back:

Second play on the next Seahawks possession that ends up with a 3 'n out. They take a sack here on a nice rush by Matthews however I am putting this one up to show the dysfunction that continues in zone coverage...

Situation:
1570385175004.png

Coverage pre-snap Weddle follows the motion but the defensive backfield is in zone:
1570385275402.png

At the snap as they're in zone JJ and Weddle swap guys seamlessly. In fact on the lower half of the screen the execution is textbook. Problem is up top, where NRC draws Metcalf (think it's Metcalf at least there on the 50 yard line numbers) and will eventually hand him off to Christian who is single high. Talib is bailing deep, and IMO should be a bit more focused on his guy while the safety takes Metcalf. Not 100% sure of this, guessing here that Talib is watching Wilson's eyes where he's reading left side first and knows the play is unlikely to be on his side:

At the drop AD has beaten his guy wide right and has 3 OL focused on him lol. Matthews stunts over the top and Wilson is no longer reading the field he's flushing. Good thing too, because Metcalf is a good throw away from another big play due to Christian not seeing the threat:

Matthews saves the day:

Next Rams possession they get the ball practically in their endzone and they 3 and out with Goff looking rather shaky. On first down they had an unproductive run. On second down Goff missed badly (he put the ball behind Woods) on a slant that would have been a sure first down. Here we are on third down, our young QB is crappin his pants a bit, and Seattle brings the rush. This is yet another potential big play for our offense that we don't capitalize on:

Situation:
1570387223509.png

Pre-snap coverage the Seahawks do a good job of disguising what's coming:

At the snap defense brings 5 on the rush:

At the drop we have Woods with room to run. Problem is Hav hands Clowney off to the inside to Gurley to take the DB then an instant later realizes his mistake. Clowney is in Goff's face but it seems like he should see Woods:

Woods looks back but Goff has not thrown the ball yet. If he had thrown this on time and on target the Rams score a 98 yard TD because the safety has his back to Woods still:

Goff throws an ill-advised pass to Kupp underneath instead, well, actually to 94 of the defense. Rams punt thankfully due to him not intercepting it:

Rams just answered with a huge TD drive here and are trying to convert 2 points but come up short on a called QB sneak which ends up hurting them. Looking at the play again here I think it was a really nice call, something the Seahawks didn't anticipate. But one guy didn't execute...

Situation:
1570388981581.png

Pre-snap things look favorable:
1570389219559.png

At the snap Goff fakes looking left but I don't think long enough. But even with that he's got hats on hats in front of him and things look favorable still:
1570389345703.png

As he commits he's got Boom right in front of him blocking 72. Allen gets second level and neutralizes Wagner. I'd say at this point we're gonna get 2 points:
1570389464539.png

But 72 absolutely RAGDOLLS Boom and casts him aside here and things change quickly:
1570389545451.png

Can Goff power his way in?:

Nope:

Great job again. Those run plays were so close.

I don't know we see it the same on all of them. On this one.

Protections at the drop are good but Clowney is beating Blythe middle of screen:
1570318374491.png

As Goff flushes it looks like he's reading Cooks, but IMO at this point in the play the clock in his head should be telling him to use his outlet to Gurley who is wide open with room to run:

It looks like Goff is looking away from Cooks. Funny you can see the defenders glow green glove on Cooks but, he is on his outside shoulder. Cooks cutting inside Goff had him had he thrown it.

I know it's not an exact science with things moving so quickly. These shots give us a great view. Much appreciated.

So obviously I'm trending towards the plays where we missed opportunities and I'm going to stick with it. There are a lot of plays I'm not putting up where things are executed well and tbh at this point early 4th Quarter it feels like the Seahawks have no answer for the Goffense outside of the Rams making it easy for them. Here's another play that is an example of that, where there's a play to be made but Goff doesn't anticipate it...

Situation:
1570391493647.png

Pre-snap:
1570391726524.png

Coverage at the snap:
1570391914177.png

Coverage at the fake:
1570392007139.png

Protections at the fake look good however Clowney is breaking away from Hav to stunt around to the A gap:
1570392108959.png

Gurley opts to release into the pattern:
1570392680765.png

Goff wants Cooks and tries to get it off with Clowney in his face (very risky IMO for an intermediate pass over the middle):

Pass incomplete:

It looks like Goff is looking away from Cooks. Funny you can see the defenders glow green glove on Cooks but, he is on his outside shoulder. Cooks cutting inside Goff had him had he thrown it.
The notes for each frame are right above them. So for the frame below the one you linked you can see Goff briefly considering Cooks (it's hard to see but his helmet was towards him for a second), who was covered, and I assume that cost him the time where he then had to dodge the rush and when he finally looked to TG the space had disappeared.
