Just saw on the local news.

They also have hall of fame hot dogs dressed just like the guys like them. eg. "The Marshall Faulk" comes with onions, ketchup, mustard and mayo.

Yes. I had a little Mexican dude turn me onto that about 25 years ago when I was a roofer. He ordered a dog from the roach coach and dumped a bunch of mayonnaise on it from the packets they had. My first reaction was, "WTF are you doing?" But then he got me to try it once and it was pretty awesome. Not alone though. You have to put other stuff on it too, like relish and onions - or hot sauce. But the mayo is a good accompaniment.

Seriously? Wow...do Americans not really have mayo on hotdogs or burgers or fries?
Maybe it's a European thing but mayonnaise is pretty much on everything over here, love it

First time I experienced mayo on fries was in Belgium 20 years ago. So yeah, it's a European thing. I don't see a lot of Americans doing that over here. Ketchup, honey-mustard, BBQ sauce, sometimes even ranch dressing. But seldom Mayo. I like it though, but I lean more towards tartar sauce instead of straight mayo. Long John Silvers tartar sauce to be exact.

Dude ... other than a good chili dog ...(and SoCal has the best of those with Pink's and Tommy's chili) My next fave is a cheese dog. ...mayo, mustard, hotdog relish, tomato slice (halved) chopped red onion and topped with grated Cheddar or Colby cheese! DA BOMB!

Fair enough, yeah we drown our food in Mayo :)
I never tried ranch, they have it at subway but I always splash the mayo instead.
Tartar is real good with fish and chips!

BBQ sauce and Ranch mixed together is really good to dunk some cheese fries in.

This reminds me of the interechange in Pulp Fiction where Vince is telling Jules about the "little differences"

1) Miracle Whip aint mayo

2) potatoes and mayo dont belong together..... no way no how

3) fries (or chips ) should have a sprinkle of malted vinegar, ketchup, bacon bits and cheese

might have to try mayo on a dog..never even friggin heard of it before.. I just load em up with mustard, hot pepper relish and some onions
