This might seem crazy but I think we should try and trade Tavon Austin to the Eagles for a second round pick. The Eagles have been crazy this off season and they might do it. Austin really doesn't fit in our offense and they just lost Maclin and Austin would be perfect there. Thoughts?

While the Rams may have over drafted Austin, we haven't had a decent kickoff/punt returner since Tony Horne. I say keep him.

We have him, I have no interest in trading him away so somebody smarter can use him and make us look even worse for not being able to capitalize on his skills. If we can get creative and actually use him in the ways people use his predecessors there's no reason to trade him away.

Keep him throughout his rookie contract, he's bound to breakout whether it's as a receiver or a punt returner. I hope Cignetti has more creativity.

Who are we drafting in the second round that has more potential than Austin?

I would prefer to see Mr. Excitement mature as an NFL player as a Horn. I recall Sam finding him in the corner of the endzone in last year's scrimmages with a medium long touch pass. Shaun and AD had problems finding bigger receivers like Kenny Britt or Brian Quick much less little guys like Tavon. I would love to see Sam and Tavon get a chance to create magic on the field with Sam's passing strength/accuracy and Tavon's electric speed/quickness before we consider giving up on Tavon.

Seriously doubt we'd get a second round pick for him tbh. I think it's worth more to us to keep attempting to put his talent to use than trading him away right now when his production doesn't much his talent and his value is lower than it should be.

Tavon has more value than a 2nd round pick, especially with a new OC preparing for this season. Plus, the Eagles might be saving that pick as part of the package for Mariota.

I'd answer the phone and listen to offers regarding Tavon, but i wouldn't be "looking" to move him just yet.
Another full season i must see.

Kelly said he likes Megatron type receiver. He just let Maclin walk. Kelly is not going to give more than 4th rounder (that might even be a pipe dream) for Tavon who is 5 feet 8 and doesn't run precision routes. Tavon's best value is to hang to him for 2 more years to see if he develops. sighh........

Why would we give up a playmaker? I'm sure if he was available from another team, we'd be saying sign him.. The kid makes plays, that is why we drafted him.
