EARTH CITY, Mo. -- A look at playing time and production of the St. Louis Rams' rookie class in Sunday's 22-7 win against the Denver Broncos

OL Greg Robinson, first round, No. 2 overall: Facing the daunting task of battling Broncos pass rusher DeMarcus Ware, Robinson mostly held his own but had some big hiccups along the way. He played all 65 offensive snaps with six more on special teams. He did have a communication miscue which allowed Ware to get a sack and force a fumble when he didn't hear a check from a run to a pass. Fortunately for the Rams, quarterback Shaun Hill recovered it and no further harm done.

DT Aaron Donald, first round, No. 13 overall: For the first time in his young career, Donald led the defensive line in playing time with 61 of a possible 69 snaps. He played three more on special teams. Donald received a lot of attention from Denver blockers but still managed three tackles and a sack that killed a Denver drive. Donald playing well and producing has become a common occurrence but he's also starting to get more attention from offenses.

DB Lamarcus Joyner, second round, No. 41 overall: Joyner did not play because of a groin injury.

RB Tre Mason, third round, No. 75 overall: Mason was instrumental, rushing 29 times for 113 yards, both career highs for Mason and season highs for a Ram this year. It's also the most rushing yards the Broncos have allowed this season. Mason is clearly the team's top back, leading them with 45 snaps.

S Maurice Alexander, fourth round, No. 110 overall: Alexander got a chance to be active for the first time in a few weeks and it paid off with a strong performance on special teams where he played 16 snaps. He had a pair of well-timed special teams tackles that helped pin Denver's offense deep in its territory.

CB E.J. Gaines, sixth round, No. 188 overall: In playing all 69 defensive snaps and five more on special teams, Gaines continues to be a key cog in the Rams defense. Working mostly out of the nickel, Gaines also kicked outside on the rare occasions when the Rams weren't in the nickel. He's clearly earned a spot as one of the team's top two corners and finished with eight tackles and a pass breakup.

C Demetrius Rhaney, seventh round, No. 250 overall: Rhaney is on injured reserve for the season with a knee injury.

Undrafted rookie roundup: End Ethan Westbrooks got back in the mix for the first time in a few weeks and played 10 defensive snaps with a tackle. ... Running back Trey Watts chipped in 18 special teams snaps and made a tackle. ... Tight end Alex Bayer and cornerback Marcus Roberson (ankle) were pregame inactives.

Wow, this rookie class is at B+/A- by the end of the season (if not now). I am still on the fence about Joyner; would love to see him at FS I think he can tackle welll enough, but I want to see him up against Lynch and Hyde and the other 225+ pounders.

No doubt. Probably the best draft in recent memory, especially with Gaines, a SIXTH round DB who apparently replaced either Jenkins or TruJo when the Rams were not in nickel D....

With three SSs, 4 if you count McLeod, on the roster where will Mo play on the field other than STs and as an injury replacement?
