Our lowest rank is 8th (Pete Prisco)

up from 9 in his post draft ranking Who seems to think the 9ers win the nfc west." regardless of who plays QB

He also has Cleveland and Baltimore ranked above us ,which I can say is not totally insane, however he has the Cardinals ranked 9th.

And the Seahawks 18th. Prisco is clearly on the sauce again and it will be fun watching his rankings go to complete shit as
the season goes

Yeah, three actually. Particularly edge rushers.

We were top 5 last year, and the guys we lost weren't good individual pass rushers - which means that plug and play guys will make up for Ebukam and Brockers sack totals.

Except for Fox - replacing him will be a bit harder and we will need someone to step up. SJD has been working on his pass rush moves all off-season so I think we will end up top 5 in sacks again

As usual, the cardinals ( Murry ) are over rated. I just can't see them in the top 15. It's a gimmicky offense with a way to short QB. It's like Oregon going up against Ohio state. Gimmick always looses to Power. Until they loose that offense and that looser head coach, they will never be better than 8 and 9.
Also I think the Chargers are way under rated and will give KC a run for their money. They will be the first Wild card in the AFC. You have to expect the D to be top 5 with Staley. I think an all LA SB is going to be something the media will be bringing up a lot in the last half of the season.

Good, because Tom Brady looked way too comfortable on TNF. Gotta get after him.

I agree with this. If you can dictate ground yards it changes everything for your offense. And vice versa on defense. Seems like the Rams made a conscious effort to add some power to the defense with B Brown but Robinson sort of looms as a big question mark for me. If he can play well we're in business vs teams like Green Bay. You won't beat a QB like Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs if he is looking at third and short all night.

The defense has to be more stout this year. I tend to think they will be but either way we're going to be a lot better on the offensive side of the ball so we're gonna win a lot of games it's just a question of whether that power element is there for us.

Really excited to see our new RB in this offense. And I hope he can stay healthy because that run style is gonna make this offense even nastier. Always say this and will again: McVay's offense with a power rush game is damn near unstoppable.

Wonder if Prisco has seen this below piece of Seattle propaganda?

Seems like David Long is the Brian Allen of our D. Question marks we're hoping pan out.

Apparently Terrell Burgess has fallen down the depth chart, adding to a line of recent disappointments. We're due for Rochelle to pan out, and I think if we can manage Terrell Lewis' knee, he'll produce on the edge and give us some QB pressures. We're due I tell ya.

Yeah, issue is he's the fastest at getting it out fast. But I agree with the pressure, commit to short hot routes and let our CBs lock down the deep options man2man. I mean, they might get a miracle TD once, but Brady will throw picks if he stays in the game more than one quarter.

Simply put, you have to make him hold onto the ball. He'll always take the easy yards. Slants for 7 yards, RB's in the flat for 5. Then on top of it you have to change up your coverages. When he has all those weapons he's really tough. Interior pressure is what has always destroyed him because he can only step up in the pocket.

I take back what I said about Oregon. They finally kicked some ass. Go PAC 12

I always thought Max Q was the best Rams offense ever, but it could never beat the Patriots videotape...

I think Aaron Donald will have a record breaking year in all aspects, which includes sack totals. He will have the same advantage that he had our Super Bowl year, in that the offense made the enemy give up on the run game because they were so far behind (Thanks Matthew Stafford & Co.) and he was able to concentrate on rushing the passer. Just as AD helped Ramsey and the CB's by putting pressure on the opposing QB, they will help him by having the other teams best WR's locked up and therefore holding the ball longer....

AD may break the fake Strahan Sack record this year. Rams are going 15-2

I can tell you this. It's a copycat league. Defensively Tampa Bay made a model the Chiefs are trying to copy. Go big, as in size, at DL and make the offense one dimensional with 4 stopping the run. The trick is still being able to get pressure.

That's why the Chiefs bumped Chris Jones to DE and Reed is filling that spot next to Nnadi. Then you can focus on your coverages without having to blitz so much while still stopping the run.

As for the Rams they have Donald. I'm guessing they built their DL to get pressure in the back field because Donald may be the best to ever do it. The counter to that is a hard nose running game, which Tampa has.

In the end I don't know this Ram team all that well. When Brockers, Fowler, and Little left I don't know the guys who replaced them or even the style of the DC.
