With the drafting of Havenstein, Donnell and Brown the Rams offensive line is starting to remind me of the old Washington Redskins Offensive Line "Hogs"! If I remember correctly they were not all that athletic but they were Huge AND Nasty (And, very, very good!)! I will be very pleased if the Rams Offensive Line can play anything like the Hogs did for the Redskins!

And they are being added to road grading maulers like Greg Robinson and Rodger Saffold (if healthy).

I just love that the team has FINALLY, decided to do what Fisher said he would bring when he FIRST arrived. Run the ball and play good defense.

YES.

Simply things and hit teams in the mouth. That's football.

Such a mindset and simplification might even make players currently on the roster like Travis Bond and Brandon Washington more relevant via an actual camp competition which is something I question ever even happened last year.

Of course it doesn't stop here. They've got to emphasize this newfound approach all offseason like Schottenhiemer would do. Sure, the new CBA limits how much they can do, but I hope they do their best to do so.

Our line will probably average almost 40 lbs heavier than the hogs, which of course was a different era.

HUGE and nasty sure sounds fun though doesn't it?

I took a look and in 1970 the average guard/tackle/center was around 250 Lbs! Guys are monsters these days.
