Morning Ram-blings: Jason Brown's new career
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/13803/morning-ram-blings-jason-browns-new-career

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Jason Brown was once considered one of the league's best centers. He did enough to earn a five-year, $37 million contract from the St. Louis Rams in 2009.

The deal made Brown one of the league's highest-paid centers and validated his status among the top pivots in the league. He arrived in St. Louis, played three years with the Rams and was never heard from again, at least until his past weekend.

Brown resurfaced on CBS News in his new career. That new career includes running a farm, but not just any farm. Brown is running a 1,000-acre farm in North Carolina with the sole intent of helping to feed the less fortunate.

I'll let you peruse and watch the story on your own but I'll add this: Brown was always one of the more thoughtful people I've ever covered in this league. He was a deep thinker with unique perspectives on a lot of things. That he's doing something to help the world become a better place is no surprise, even if how he's going about doing it might be.
