Morning Ram-blings: Is Adrian Peterson worth a look for Rams?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/17288/morning-ram-blings-whither-a-p

PHOENIX -- Whether or not the Minnesota Vikings and running back Adrian Peterson go through a full-on divorce remains to be seen but it certainly appears to be heading that way.

News broke Monday that Ben Dogra, Peterson's agent, said he doesn't think it's in Peterson's best interest to play in Minnesota in 2015 and beyond. Those were Dogra's first public comments on the situation since Peterson and the Vikings began their standoff three months ago.

ESPN NFL Nation columnist Kevin Seifert followed by writing that the Vikings are doing the right thing by not giving in to Peterson's demands.

So what does any of this have to do with the St. Louis Rams? Well, not much. Given Peterson's age (30), price ($12.75 million base salary in 2015) and the cost required to get him, it seems all but certain the Rams wouldn't be players in any bidding war for Peterson.

Here's a thought and it's one I've floated before: If the Rams are dead set on being a team centered on winning with defense and a strong run game, wouldn't it be worth kicking the tires to see if something could work out? By no means am I saying that's the right way to go about building a team but looking at it within the confines of what coach Jeff Fisher says he wants his team to be, doesn't Peterson give him a chance to truly build a team in that mold?

Yes, the Rams should first invest in the offensive line and then they'll probably look to youngsters like Tre Mason to get that run game revved up. But I'm curious, Rams fans, what do you think of the idea of at least taking a look at Peterson when considering what the Rams hope to be offensively?

It almost certainly won't happen but it's an interesting discussion to have when looking at how Fisher teams have succeeded with that style of football in the past.

I think its usually at the end of the round...and they go in the order of finish...Like, Tampa's 6th round compensatory would be before the Rams....

Ok, But if they've announced the comp picks then they should know the order and be able to put a number on it right!?:)
