Morning Ram-blings: Charity softball
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/9069/morning-ram-blings-charity-softball

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- We're going to begin this Saturday morning with something a little different and on the lighter side of all things St. Louis Rams.

Since arriving as head coach in St. Louis, Rams coach Jeff Fisher has been a part of a number of charitable endeavors but none is closer to him than his now annual charity softball game. Fisher's softball game is now in its third year and with more time to plan and organize, it seems to grow every year.

For those in the St. Louis area, Fisher's softball game is scheduled for Sunday night at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill. It begins with a home run derby at 6:30 p.m. ET and closes with fireworks tentatively scheduled for about 10 p.m. ET.

Many of the Rams, including linebacker James Laurinaitis, ends Chris Long and Robert Quinn, receiver Tavon Austin and the team's two first-round picks, Greg Robinson and Aaron Donald, are expected to play. The complete details of Fisher's softball event can be found here.

The proceeds from the game benefit five charities.

While the players don't hesitate to compete -- it is a sporting event, after all -- Fisher has a nearly spotless record in managing one of the teams. He has a number of tricks up his sleeve and there are no shortage of shenanigans.

"[Offensive coordinator] Coach [Brian] Schottenheimer is already working on his postgame losing speech," Fisher said. "That’s how that works. But as far as runs and things like that, I don't know how much I'm going to win by.”
