Morning Ram-blings: The week ahead
By Nick Wagoner | ESPN.com

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/6976/morning-ram-blings-the-week-ahead

The NFL draft isn't until May and the schedule won't be released until next month but for those craving NFL news between free agency and those events, there should be plenty to come this week.

The NFL owners meetings are set to begin this week in Orlando with plenty of topics and ideas to be discussed, vetted and even voted upon. Later in the week, the St. Louis Rams will join the 31 other teams in finding out if they will get any compensatory picks.

But there's much more on the docket this week as ESPN's John Clayton lays out in his preview of the meetings. Clayton starts his preview with a look at three things he'd like to see the NFL do, including expanding the active game day roster from 46 to 49. That should be a no-brainer but Clayton doesn't expect much movement on that front.

NFL Nation columnist Kevin Seifert delves deeper into some of the issues mentioned by Clayton, particularly the ones that will be high on the discussion list this week. Those issues include the kicking game and officiating. Seifert writes that he doesn't expect much to come of those conversations.
