Rams to Go with Cignetti as Offensive Coordinator –PD
The long wait for the Rams’ new offensive coordinator is over. In a close call between tight ends coach Rob Boras and quarterbacks coach Frank Cignetti, coach Jeff Fisher has decided upon Cignetti as his new OC, while Boras will be promoted to assistant head coach/offense.

Morning Ram-blings: Trading up?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/16028/morning-ram-blings-trading-up

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- It's no secret that the St. Louis Rams need to add help at the quarterback position. Finding the right solution, though, is easier than simply identifying the need.

In his Thursday morning column, ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates offered four teams that should try to trade up for a quarterback in the 2015 NFL draft. It's no surprise that the Rams are one of the teams Yates lists.

"The Rams are in perhaps better shape than any other team in the NFL to make a significant move up the draft board," Yates wrote. "St. Louis is loaded with young talent due in part to the trade it made with Washington that landed the Redskins RG III, but quarterback is a glaring need."

As we move toward the scouting combine, we'll get a better idea of how teams value the top two quarterbacks -- Florida State's Jameis Winston and Oregon's Marcus Mariota. There already appears to be some emerging doubts about Mariota, so perhaps it's not as out of the question he could slip to the Rams at No. 10 as it once appeared. Otherwise, it's possible he could fall close enough for the Rams to move up to make a deal.

The Rams only have five picks in this year's draft, so they aren't flush with choices to deal, but if they do opt to try to move up in this draft, it's going to cost them premium picks in the future anyway. First things first, though, the Rams must hire an offensive coordinator and ensure that coordinator can best utilize any quarterback they add in the offseason.
