Morning Ram-blings: Changes in the West
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/15087/morning-ram-blings-changes-in-the-west

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The St. Louis Rams didn't beat the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, but that doesn't mean they came away from the season's final weekend empty-handed.

The Rams actually gained a little bit of positioning in the NFL draft after the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings won. More important, Jim Harbaugh coached his final game for the San Francisco 49ers several hundred miles away.

That news came down soon after the 49ers beat the Cardinals and was given a little more clarity Monday as it became more clear that Harbaugh will be the next head coach at the University of Michigan.

Niners reporter Paul Gutierrez explored where the Niners go from here with Harbaugh gone.

As it stands, it appears that will be the only major change in the NFC West this offseason, but it's a big one for a San Francisco team trending the wrong direction and now in search of a new leader. Finding one won't be hard. Finding one as good as Harbaugh will.

And no matter how you slice it, that's good news for the Rams.
