Morning Ram-blings: All time D-line?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/10883/morning-ram-blings-all-time-d-line

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Let's face it, the past 36 or so hours have not been fun if you're a fan of the St. Louis Rams.

The loss of quarterback Sam Bradford probably has you searching for something, anything to lift your spirits. Well, I don't know how much it will help but here's something from Grantland's Bill Barnwell that might at least temporarily put a smile on your face.

Late last week, Barnwell went through and offered what he believed to be the best units at each position in league history along with a group in today's NFL that Barnwell believes could enter the conversation.

Now, I know you're probably down to the defensive line and already mad that the Fearsome Foursome wasn't Barnwell's choice as the best defensive line in league history (though he writes it was awfully close) but keep scrolling and you'll find the biggest reason this Rams season isn't a lost cause: the current defensive line.

From Barnwell's piece:

Carolina had the best line in the league last year, and the Texans are about to combine J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney in their pass rush, but nobody has horses like this.

There's been plenty of hype about this group in the preseason and it certainly looks like the real deal. That group was already expected to be great. Now it will be needed more than ever.
