This is what makes a GM's job so hard.

You have 2 guys. One, in Still, that is established and has a plethora of good tape under his belt. But he also has a few years on the other, Brockers. Brockers doesnt have the quality of tape that Still has but is widely regarded to have a much higher ceiling. A true boom/bust type guy.

Who do you go with?

Id have to go with Still.

Where the heck did Brockers come from? He sure has been talked about a lot this offseason. Its a pretty good DT class, but there isnt that consesus no. 1 guy, and it seems like Brockers is being pushed (by the media) to that spot. Oh and im a little skeptical about LSU DTs coming into the NFL.

Anthony Adams was released by the Bears today. He's a very solid DT who had some huge games last year, but also had some dud games as well. Wouldn't come too expensive I believe.

I'd prefer younger blood; Adams is thirty-one. We've been picking up guys like Robbins and Bannan, and while they've given us good years, I'd like to have a top guy who can grow with this defense.

If we trade with the Redskins, Brockers is - and should be - a very good possibility for the Rams. He's really shooting up draft boards. Still's easily the safer pick (especially when you consider LSU's history with defensive tackles), but Brockers' potential is outer space-esque, and he's the most dominant defensive tackle in this draft class by far; he's the only one in this class I'd compare with Suh, McCoy, Raji, or Dareus. Some team is going to take him in the top ten.
