The 2016 East-West Shrine Game kicked off their first of four practices yesterday ahead of Saturday's game in St. Petersburg, Florida. With it came some early reporting giving 2016 NFL Draft prospect their first postseason chance to impress NFL teams.

But beyond just the general impression some prospects left, we also got three prospects with whom the Los Angeles Rams met with. I would note that at least year's practices, one of the players the Rams met with was RB Malcolm Brown. So it's not outside the realm of possibility that one of these guys ends up a Los Angeles Ram in the next four months.

Miami S Deon Bush
Bush was a hometown product for the Hurricanes who is coming through the Miami safety pipeline after a productive four-year career. He was also voted on to the All-ACC third team for 2015.

Illinois CB V'Angelo Bentley
Bentley's an all-around athlete who will have no problem sliding into special teams duties as a rookie as the only player in the history of Illinois to record a touchdown via interception, fumble recovery, kickoff return and punt return.

UCLA LB Aaron Wallace
The son of former longtime Raiders LB Aaron Wallace, the younger Wallace didn't start at linebacker until his redshirt senior season in 2015. Somewhat surprisingly though after losing top draft prospect Myles Jack out to a knee injury, Wallace had a pretty successful season production-wise with 65 tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss and 7 sacks. That work on the edge is likely to draw attention this week and throughout draft season as an athlete who's still working to improve at the position with the lack of playing time.

More to come this week on the goings on in St. Pete.

Cue complaints about even thinking about defense.

Seriously, I figure the Rams will lose at least a couple of free agents they would rather keep, most likely on defense. The draft needs to keep the pipeline going, as well as working on the offense of course.
