A little hyperbole there man? We shot ourselves in the foot for sure. I'm pretty sure to a man - we wanted to win.

Certainly time to take that next step though. We need to seize the wins. Really take the wins. I think we will but there will still be a lot of challenges along the way. It's not like these other teams want to lose.

Yes and no. Our guys didn't have that swagger in this game. We just kept doubting ourselves when we had the shot to take control of the game.

Another positive. Jags have been winning and losing every other week this year. Next week they're due for a loss!

I see your point but I think it is more that we just kept tripping ourselves. I think we had the swagger for most of the game. We just fucked up when it came to closing the deal. Still we were in position to make a play at the end to win. Kupp catches that ball and we win - and I'm not blaming Kupp in the least. We were the better team. I really hope they watch that tape and see exactly that. If they see and believe, we will win this division. Of THAT I am confident.

The best team lost today. Amazing we had 5 turnovers and still had a chance to win. If Kupp hangs onto that ball at the end it's an amazing win. Sucks we lost but considering the turnover battle I think the best team in the NFC West plays in LA.

Also have to add that after watching Washington and Dallas run up and down the field the run D was awesome today. So if we can continue that trend we should be fine.

What rule is that?

If the runner touches the ball after he's out of bounds, the play is dead at that spot. Gurley's hand was still touching the ball when he stepped out. You don't need to have possession in that situation. You just have to make contact with the ball. It appears that NY forgot to consider that part of it. They looked to see if Gurley had possession to determine if it was a fumble, and then, they looked to determine if it hit the pylon. They didn't consider that Gurley could have fumbled the ball and still touched it down at the 1.

I think so too. This was one of those "I cant believe that just happened" games. Every time it looked like we were going to punch it in and right the ship, some strange play would occur. BTW, that ball was catchable, but not a drop as some here have inferred. Shoulda been 6.

I'm disappointed, but not discouraged, we just went toe-to-toe with an experienced playoff team, played our worst game of the season, and still came within two inches of winning----that pass was about two inches from being caught by Kupp. The defense only gave up 62yds rushing; we outgained them 388yds o 260yds; they won the turnover battle which caused us this game. We'll grow a lot from this game; ALL loses aren't bad if you learn and improve from them, and at 3 -2 we're not out of the playoff race------the season is not over because of this loss-----we'll see these guys again and we'll be MUCH BETTER next time.

Negativity lost this game. You can say what ever you want. Bottom line.

That was a really tough loss. But I'm glad we got that one out of the way. We have another game against them and we will need to show up. I'd rather have the tough losses now than have them later in the season :p. We still have a good shot at the division. Not going to be an easy road to the playoffs.

Bingo. Let that be another difference between this year's Rams and the Rams teams of the past several years that never seemed to learn from their losses.

The Johnson kid played a heck of a game and Woods and Higbee are solid .

The positives? We blew at least 20 points because of our own errors. We still should have won in the end, but we made yet another unforced error. Seattle wasn't the better team today. They should have blown us out considering the mistakes we made. We just didn't want to win.

Vague, venting sound coming from thIs post....y'all hear it?

That wasn't a vent, bud. That was me saying we did everything possible to keep ourselves from winning, and we still nearly pulled it out against a good team. That should tell us that we're not the Rams of old. We played as bad as we could today, and we didn't lose 28-0 like we would have in the past.

Positives-

Higbee is coming along
JJohnson
Tavon's TD
Goff stepped up in the pocket and his running was clutch!
AD
52 had a good game
6 solid quarters from the Defense in a row
Defense tackled better
Woods
Kupp had a huge catch and almost the game winner
Liked Goff on the 2 minute drill...seemed to get to a higher level, still seems right at home and the game is not too big for him...I am not worried about QB play anymore
OLine was pretty solid

DB play, in general, looked pretty good.
Higbee looks integrated into the offense the last 2 games. Rams put up 375+ yads against a very good defense, while not being focused. Putting up a lot of yards gives field position and control--we want this (obviously we didn't get points from them)
Similar to the 2001 Super Bowl, we were the better team, we all know it, the Rams will see that on the film, and be confident that they need to 'clean' some things up.

By the way, if Goff throws 50 career TDs by game 7 or so 2018, he will be one of the youngest, ever, to be at 50 TDs. I say this to emphasize the success and age he has. HE is young!!!!!!!!!! He is growing, getting tougher. He will be moving from Marc Bulger towards the Kurt side of balling by next year. I would take him over BUlger 2003 right now---and that is saying a lot.

Honestly, I'm proud of Jared Goff. He didn't really have that good of a game, but he flashed Greatness, and that final minute drive with no timeouts was incredible, because NONE OF THOSE THROWS were easy and were thrown as lasers. I'm okay with Cooper Kupp dropping the ball, he is a rookie. The only thing I think Goff really needs to improve on is the wobbly ball. Every time I see his signature wobbly ball I get anxious, and nervous because I think that wobble slows down the velocity of the ball (somebody needs to confirm if it does indeed decrease velocity).
