Not long ago, Alec Ogletree was leading Newnan (Ga.) High School to four-straight playoff berths.

Now a starting linebacker for the St. Louis Rams, Ogletree is coming home for the holidays to give back to his community.

Per his personal website, Alec, a former standout at the University of Georgia, and his fiance Alexandria are doing a turkey drive in Newnan, donating 350 turkeys to those less fortunate.

Thanks for sharing this. It makes me think about a story that Anthony Robbins often shares. His family was given Thanksgiving dinner and it changed his life from "people don't care about me", which is what his family told him, to "here is irrefutable evidence that people do care about other people".

Olec Ogeltree is a game changer. And not just on Sunday's.

Today is the Rams annual Turkey handout day in Jennings. Unfortunately due to all the unrest, the players won't be delivering this year. They'll be doing all the prep work just not the delivery as they have done in the past.

Sad days. I watched some stuff go down last night on a live stream someone had up on their phone. Mid stream someone ran up and jacked it out of his hands. That was the end of that.

Probably good the players aren't delivering. Don't want to put a target on them.

With all the ALS momentum this year, how about EVERYBODY gives a cooked turkey to a person, or family in need, if you can find one. Let's not let anyone go hungry this Thanksgiving.
