Glazer: Rams job 'most desired one' in league
9518.jpg

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Rams' head-coaching job is "the most desired one" by coaches.

Per Glazer, even head coaches who have stability elsewhere want the Rams job. Jeff Fisher truly ran this organization into the ground, but there's a ton of talent, especially young talent, on the roster. On top of the young talent and big market, owner Stan Kroenke showed extreme patience with Fisher, sticking with him for nearly five years when most teams would have canned him after around three. It wouldn't be a shock to see this team turn around quickly if the Rams can get a coach who has the ability to develop talent, instead of suppress it like Fisher. This roster needs a coach that enforces discipline, instead of being okay with personal foul penalties and mistakes. There are rumors (strictly rumors) that the Rams could pursue Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.

"Ran the organization into the ground" "suppressed talent"? Laying it on a little thick I think.

So which is it?
Did he run it into the ground or is there a ton of talent?

...isn't it literally the only job opening? Doesn't that mean that, right now, it's both the most and least desired position by default?

Yeah I hope they dont keep that crap up.

Glazer knows better than that. He's become a tool.

If you read Glazer's Twitter feed, Glazer doesn't say that.

Glazer only makes the "desired opening" comments.

Rotoworld added the snark....

I feel there is a "TON" of young Talent on this team also. Much more talent than when he took over.....what is the stat, something like 36 players were no longer in league after he took over.....Fisher couldn't get the current players to play up to they're potential. .... the next coach will be gone if he cannot get more out of them also.

Go Rams......... ;)

The Rams have:

- The best player in the NFL (Donald)
- A very talented young RB (Gurley)
- An unknown with upside at QB (Goff)
- A stud MLB (Ogletree)
- A damned fine NT (Brockers)
- An enigma at RDE (Quinn)
- A "weapon" (Austin)
- IF RESIGNED a fantastic SS (McDonald)
- A Big Nickel OLB (Barron) (Alternatively, a good starting SS)
- IF RESIGNED a talented but injury-prone starting CB (Johnson)
- A good starting FS (Joyner) (IMO)

The OL is a mess... although a new coach may think they can still mold young talent like Robinson, Brown and Havenstein into good starters. The secondary needs a lot of work, they need at least one young starting DE, they need two OLBs, they need multiple WRs and TEs, and they need RB depth.

But there is enough talent and intrigue on the roster to sway a potential coach. Certainly more than there was going into 2012.

They're probably a few years away, but they're a few years away with the roster to make those few years tolerable under the right leadership.
