Usually after round 3 of the draft I pretty much tune out. This can be a mistake because there are times we can pick someone who turns out to be a surprise such as Zac Stacy. But for the most part these picks were a waste and may explain the wisdom of trading our lower picks to get quality players. So I checked out our rounds 4-7 picks since 2000. LINK

Snead's last two drafts work..... after the second day concludes...... is very good when compared to the previous body of work by past Ram GM's.

2012 4th pick WR Givens has been the starter the last two seasons.
2013 4th pick OL Barrett Jones was injured.
2013 5th pick CB McGee was the dime back
2013 5th pick cost us two 6th round picks but thus far he has been the best third day selection in over a decade as best I can remember.
2012 6th pick Kicker was an outstanding selection.
2012 7th pick RB Richardson was the top relief in 2012 and started the 2013 season as the starter until he was hurt.

This draft Snead must be very happy that he has eight selections & if he can match just what he has been able to do with the past above 6 picks but a 2014 version ......I will be just as intrigued on Saturday afternoon as I will be Thursday evening. Just look what Seattle was able to do with their 3rd day draft work the past two years!

So it shouldn't surprise us if we come out with 6 to 8 picks instead of 12. Keeping in mind of course that compensatory picks are not tradeable.

Yes I posted earlier that I was guessing that the Ram would end up with 8 to 9 picks due to trade fodder.
