That $4 million guarantee was voided because he wasn't on the roster on the final day of the 2013 season (he was on IR).

He is a pure RG because that is the only side he is comfortable escorting D lineman to his QB

At this point, I'd rather see what Brandon Washington(PS) or Mike Person can do. Maybe they're worse...if they are, insert Joseph, but he's been such a liability might as well try something.

We've got nothing left to lose this season so we may as well put Robinson at LT and allow him to get plenty of reps at the position he's going to end up playing. Resign Bazooka Joe (this is now even more of a priority in my view) and draft interior lineman early.

I, too, am fed up of watching crappy o line play and relying on Boudreau to work his magic.

Don't draft a QB. The poor bastard wouldn't stand a chance behind a makeshift line

So with the benefit of hindsight, if given a time machine would you still take Aaron Donald, or would you take Zack Martin?

I like Donald, I really do. He may very well turn out to be the best defensive player in the draft, and lord knows our defense has been hurting. But with Robinson and Martin anchoring the youth movement on the offensive line would we be further ahead as a team? Granted our defensive line hasn't been the SackCity we were promised, but we still have depth there, and we need run-stoppers anyways. Donald was a luxury pick which could very well pay off big in the end, but... I don't know. Given the age and injury history of our offensive line maybe we should have been proactive and started the rebuild there last draft.

Or maybe I'm just p*ssed this morning as I contemplate ANOTHER season going down the tube.

That's a tough question. I really like them both. It's obvious that we need O line help, especially after the injuries, but I think overall, I'd still stick with Donald. I think he'll be a beast for us, and someone the offenses will always have to account for (like Quinn). Donald's a game changer. I'm not entirely certain that Martin is.

I stick with Donald. He looks like the 2nd or 3rd best defensive player in this draft, and is really coming into it now.

Rams left tackle Jake Long has torn his ACL again

The Rams weren’t necessarily expecting any good news, but that doesn’t mean they’re not disappointed.

A league source tells PFT that Long has indeed torn his ACL, which will cost him the rest of the season.

That leaves two of the Rams’ highest-paid players in rehab for now, and limbo for the future.

They drafted Greg Robinson to be their left tackle of the future anyway, but there’s no such succession plan for quarterback Sam Bradford, whose ACL tear this year created the Rams’ biggest problem.

Kinda funny how Jake Long goes from injury prone to "Rams are cursed" (and we are)

My brother's had 9 or 10 car accidents, 4 were his fault (one a few months ago)..I've had one or 2 in my entire life - but i don't call him accident prone, he's just unlucky/cursed.

Reminds me of the entire team right now - Bradford, Quick, Long, Wells, Saffold, Mccleod, Davis.

With 2 gigantic question marks at guard and Robinson at LT....well, the only player I feel confident about is Barksdale..I'll just leave it at that.

Beefing up the OL is imperative if we are to have ANY CHANCE AT ALL next season.

I just cannot believe the Rams' luck. First Bradford, then Long. I say if anyone tears an ACL in the future, just cut him right then and there and spare us fans the angst. (not sure if I'm kidding or not).

I would have not taken Tavon and taken Kyle Long in the 1st and Larry Warford in the 2nd. Donald was too good to pass up.

Ready for the Rams to draft at least 2 O linemen in the first 3 rounds next year! Lay off the d line for a year, please! Do need a linebacker to start in the next draft!

Or better yet don't draft or sign a player who has a history of injuries, especially ACL tears.

Jake Long was one fine tackle before the string of injuries hit him. I don't remember what injury it was in Miami that started it all, but it's a shame. He should consider retiring while he still has a shot at playing with his grandkids someday.

IMHO No such thing as curses.
The Rams are just a victim of their own devices......poor management....poor coaching....picking the wrong people, etc.
