EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Two key pieces of the St. Louis Rams running game suffered injuries in Monday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but the extent of those injuries remains to be seen.

Coach Jeff Fisher briefly discussed the knee injury suffered by guard Harvey Dahl and running back Zac Stacy's ankle sprain Tuesday but didn't reveal much in the way of details as the team continues to run tests on the pair.

At first glance, it appears Dahl's injury is the more serious of the two. Dahl left the game midway through and did not return with Shelley Smith handling right guard duties in his absence.

"The suspicion there is an MCL," Fisher said. "The degree is what we're concerned about right now."

According to Fisher, Stacy suffered his ankle injury on the team's second-to-last drive. He returned and carried twice for 26 yards on the final drive but didn't return to the game until its final play. Fisher declined to offer updates on Stacy's condition Tuesday, saying only that more tests need to be done and that there'd be an injury report on Wednesday. It seems likely Stacy will appear on said report when it's released.

Beyond that duo, Fisher also indicated that quarterback Kellen Clemens was pretty sore Tuesday and said he didn't know how much Clemens will do in practice Wednesday. He indicated Clemens would be fine but Fisher's words made it sound like Clemens could be limited a bit in Wednesday's practice.

Finally, Fisher acknowledged that running back Benny Cunningham could return from his ankle injury this week.

The Rams return to practice Wednesday to begin a short week of preparation for theTennessee Titans.

Stacy is a good bulk of the offense, now. Another big loss if he can't go this week. Dahl has been playing well when yellow hankies haven't been smacking him in the face. Sure hope these guys can go. Tennessee is very beatable but the Rams are like a box of chocolates.

I really liked what Stacy showed last night. The line stepped up and for 99% of the game schotty called a good gameplan.
We need this kid healthy

If Dahl has indeed torn his MCL.... then things could get real interesting up front. Smith sure sems to play OLG better than he plays ORG. Chris Williams who looked real good @ ORG the last two games last yr filling in for the IR'd Dahl.

Boudreau move the 6-5 326 pound Barksdale a few feet to the left @ ORG too, with Saffold returning to full duty back @ ORT.
