I'll wait to hear/read some updated information on Lewis before completely writing him off.

Even if he can play part-time he has the talent to make it worthwhile to keep him on the roster.

They opened camp with Jonah Williams playing a lot of snaps at DE. He looks like a younger and faster version of Brockers who plays with power and the speed that Brockers didn't bring. He was going against Whitworth and looked like he gave Whit all he could handle. IMO he looked like the kind of early-down DE that can set a hard edge in the early-down run game.

I think from what I'm hearing it's Hollins and Williams who might be who they are looking at right now. I've always been high on Williams and Hoecht and I think they both bring speed and power to their respective positions. As far as Lewis is concerned they were talking about the DE position. They also could be looking at Lewis to play behind Floyd as depth and in rotation.

Lewis needs to prove he can stay healthy, just as Howard and Kiser must also prove they can do likewise. I like Lewis and think he's a legitimate talent. But if he can't stay on the field long enough to earn his spot on the roster they can't simply wait on him.

i get it,but don’t get it. They have time to wait on T. Lewis because he is such a good talent.

IMO - I’ll say clearly Hoecht is GONE!! He doesn’t look like he belongs. I don’t even think he will be on the practice squad. Then again every player of the 88 will get there chance.

J. Williams is lining up more we’re Morgan Fox would line up on the right side DT/DE. AD99 also lines up to the right of him sometimes.

So as far as Morris is concerned he doesn't really exist yet. Hopefully Lewis can make a name for himself quickly.
That's exactly right . You want a coach to know your name?
There's only one way to do that and that is by being on the field making plays.
Otherwise your just a guy.

I think it absolutely matters. He didn't even come to mind when Morris was answering the question. He's the highest drafted OLB we've made in a while and he's not even being mentioned when discussing pass rushers from OLB?? I thought some around here said he's looked pretty good in camp but I guess not.
From what I have read he has had a couple good reps.
It's gonna take more than that.
Raheem wasn't here last year, so all he got to go on is
what he has seen which hasn't been much.
If the knee situation doesn't clear up pretty soon, I not sure he makes the 53.
Maybe they stash him away on practice squad or unable to perform list, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

Lewis is extremely talented. I’ve yet to see a poster or pundit say otherwise. It is unfair though, to keep his name fresh in everyone’s ears while it is others putting in the reps while he trains for a return. He’s not a proven vet. I’m sure Morris will be welcoming upon Lewis’ return to scrimmage.
He (T.Lewis)only has had one day of rest. Harris is getting all kinds of love.
Hopkins is healthy & hasn’t even been on the field. I might go to The Rams 2nd scrimmage against The raiders ? I drove by Chargers camp a couple times & she was like I like there pants. The white ones, will there be 80 guys in tights ? Went to a baseball game & the excitement level was way down from SOFI. Anaheim stadium is a baseball field.
At this time in my LIFE it has been worth the wait.

Whose House - thanks Stan!!

You need to get real!!!

When you see VTR’s photo, you see T.Lewis on the right edge(OLB). It doesn’t take a genius to see his skill set.
HOLLY F” if you see that guy coming off the edge as a QB,he’s scare the heck out of you.

In the photo you see him working against Andrew Whitworth who was in Pads for the first time as well.BOTH PLAYERS were coming off rest day.

I am real @So Ram

No need to scream with your explanation mark!

I'm a fan of Morris and thought he was a solid replacement for Staley considering all of the other choices McVay likely contemplated.

Morris will get some slack because of the offseason losses by the Rams.

I don't need to name the players lost because you all know who are they are.

Even so, Morris has some big shoes to fill after the love affair with Brandon Staley's first year accomplishments.

When you inherit the number one rated defense in the NFL, you will be compared to the previous defensive coordinator and under the microscope after every game.

The 2021 defensive statistics under Morris will be compared to the 2020 defense under Staley all season by NFL pundits.

I'm guessing Morris is capable of keeping the defense rated in the top 7 - 10.

Predicting the Rams to be a top 3 defense in 2021 based on their 2020 season performance isn't logical from my armchair.

I won't be surprised it they remain top 5 of or end up rated in the 10- 12.

Morris has said, he's more concerned about wins than what the defensive stats are.

I agree with Raheem on the surface, but if the Rams lose some critical close games because the defense collapses, Morris will become an NFL media scapegoat.

we’ll see how it all plays out.I like him better than Staley. He was headed to the Jags with Urban Myers.
IMO Mcvay would have hired him on the spot again if it was 2020.I don’t think Morris or Mcvay are feeling any pressure right now. They’d have to start Lossing for that to happen.

Interesting take considering Jourdan reported he was a standout on drills. Michael isn't a DE he's strictly a DT. He has exceptional quickness and strength. He gives them a legitimate option to Robinson, especially next year when Robinson's cap jumps to over $9M.

We will just have to disagree on this guy.

WOW !! You guys are TOUGH & IMO the FANS I sort of dislike.I know I have drank to much at times, but I do not understand all THE HATE!!!
I see the O”LINE is being left alone & now it’s T. Lewis.

What I don’t see is why? Might as well say F”Copper Kupp!!!
Is there a reason why you refuse to call COOPER Kupp by his proper name? I swear I have NEVER seen you type it correctly. Ever. Carry on....

O’Connell talked about what Johnny means to The Rams offense. Just glad he wasn’t talking about Hekker who some around here want The Rams to cut.
I think Mundt is safe & yes you won’t see him during the preseason.
On the other hand the other Johnny can pass & hold.Which is an important skill.

Depth there will be well sorted by preseason since no starters.

The DL group is gonna be fun to watch and I can't wait to see them in live snaps.
