- Rams starting offensive unit saw action in the first two drives of the game.

- QB Sam Bradford completed seven-of- nine passes for 57 yards, with no sacks for a 93.1 rating.

- In the first quarter, the Rams had the ball for 13:12 minutes, tallied six first downs and gained 92 yards (32 rushing, 60 passing).

- RB Steven Jackson rushed four times for 17 yards, added one reception for six yards.

- QB Kellen Clemens came in for the Rams on the third drive in the first quarter. Clemens completed four of six passes for 18 yards for a 70.1 rating.

- RB Isaiah Pead tallied 10 rushes for 33 yards with a long of 11, added three receptions for nine yards.


- K Greg Zuerlein kicked a 37-yard field goal in the second quarter to put the Rams on the board.

- QB Austin Davis started out the third quarter and went through the end of the game. Davis completed 12-of-18 passes for 84 yards for a 53.9-yard average.

- WR Austin Pettis led the team in receiving yards with 25 on three receptions.

- In all, the ball was distributed to 14 different receivers and four running backs for 215 total net yards.

- DT Jermelle Cudjo sacked QB Drew Stanton in the third quarter for a nine yard loss.

- According to press box statistics, CB Jerome Murphy led the team in tackles with six (five solo).

- Return duties were spread out to Pead, CB Janoris Jenkins, WR Chris Givens and RB Chase Reynolds

- Pead tallied a 30-yard return on the opening kickoff. Givens had a 28-yard return in the second quarter.

- P Johnny Hekker punted two times for 111 yards, a 55.5-yard average, 52.5-yard net, placed two inside the 20 and tallied a long of 67 yards.

- P Tom Malone also punted twice for 72 yards, a 36-yard average, 36-yard net and placed one inside the 20.

- According to press box statistics, Tom Brandstater, Jamie Childers, Brody Eldridge did not play.

- Not in uniform today included: Danario Alexander, Bradley Fletcher, Brandon Gibson, Trevor Laws, and Scott Wells.

- Today’s captains were Steven Jackson, Sam Bradford, James Laurinaitis and Brit Miller

I liked Fisher's approach to this game... by LMU93


Fisher saw this as a practice game, a scrimmage in full unis. Things like going for it on 4th downs, pulling starters early, playing basic coverages. I even thought Pead bringing the KOR out from 9 yards deep was planned (apparently not..). I'd have let him...

It was about evaluating individual backups and bubble players. By early in the 2nd quarter Indy was playing most of their starting units and the Rams were almost entirely 2nd and 3rd teamers. Minimal game planning. That's kind of what you're supposed to do in the 1st preseason game...
