This will be a short thread ...

TJ McDonald is a player.

Brian Quick is finally a real boy.

Aaron Donald flashes - even against 1s.

The Rams got humiliated today in all 3 facets of the game. They are young - and getting their butts beat may be good for them when all is said and done.

The coaching staff needs to take a long look in the mirror. They got outcoached all over the field. Perhaps getting trounced so early will serve as a wake up call to them as well.

I gotta agree with you. I think the biggest bright side to this game was getting our asses kicked. If that doesn't wake us up I don't know what will, and if that's the case it's gonna be a long season.

I don't get the continual push to be "the youngest team in the NFL." This philosophy has done nothing for us, and it hasn't closed the gap with Seattle or SF.

Well, the Rams almost did better than my fantasy football teams.:D

Well, mine did better, but Matty Ice had to save my bacon. Though my opponent still has Luck, Cruz, and Sanders to play. :(

Add Gaines to the list. Held his own against a solid, savvy vet.

Jenks too. Really, entire secondary played well. The front 7 actually....they had some issues.

This post has made me feel better. Thank you for helping me find hope that this team can still be good.

Sorry. But I was there. And I'm reflecting the views of every Rams fan in my section. He's awful. We're going nowhere as long as he's the OC.

might want to read the thread title again...

and then one more time after that just to be sure

Relax guys. I'm just frustrated. Sorry for posting my negativity in a 'positives' thread.

I do have some positives. I thought JJ played well today. He missed the tackle on Patterson, but overall I thought he played well. I thought Donald play well. I thought TJ brought some Wood. Other than that.. not a whole lot.

Except for the Patterson big plays, I generally liked what I saw out of the defense. The secondary looked more like a strength than a weakness. Quinn caused some havoc, I saw Brockers covering a lot of ground, TJ looks like he can be a force, Gaines, Donald and Joyner definitely looked like they belong. If anything, the linebacking was a bit lacking which inflated the secondaries tackle count.
On offense, Quick was the one and only bright spot.
