I know I'm not a draft guy, and I know that this is probably a combo or recency/survivor/confirmation bias, but doesn't it seem like the "low ceiling, high floor" "NFL ready, but won't get better than he is now" types outperform the "high ceiling" guys that are trash now "but if someone could just get through to them" types?

Off the top I think Kupp and I know Jake Matthews were referred to that way. I want to say Chris Long was as well.

Again, probably a bias of mine, but it just really seems like people get hung up on players that haven't figured it out yet and dismiss the guys who are already performing at a high level.
I would say no. Like anything else, there's a mix of failures and successes.

Too many teams fall in love with athletic traits. What could be instead of what is. Projecting with early picks is a dangerous way to draft. Tim Brady is the best example of brains over athleticism at the most cerebral position in football. You’d think teams would value intelligence over athleticism with him still in the league as a glaring example.

I know it's mixed. I just wonder if there's a statistically significant difference in success rate between the two groups. There's always going to be a percentage that succeed for both.

Couldn't tell you. It would be a hard thing to classify when you're analyzing in hindsight.

I forget who but yesterday on one of the pregame shows they said the Patriots tried to draft the QB that was most similar to Tom Brady

Pats getting some solid QBing from Mac Jones, he's 18th in passer rating and seems to be getting better. 9ers can't be happy bout that lol.

And hope Hill is ok of course.

Lol - my thoughts as well about Mac Jones.Interested in how Cam Newton does in Carolina again. They said he signed for more than what he was going to get paid in NE.

Troy Hill was released from the hospital.I remember when he almost got killed in a car accident.Don’t want to get into that part of it,expect to say how far he has come as a person & a player. He signed a 4 year contract. The Rams develop players.
There was not much more about Troy Hill than he was going back to Cleveland & there wasn’t any bad news out of the report, which of course is good news.

Troy Hill & JJ both went to Cleveland.
When Obj got signed JJ sort of talked trash about Cooper Kupp about being the guy & didn’t see it as a good fit. Then Woods got hurt, which I don’t see it being a bad fit for both.

The thing I like about OBj is his head is on straight. He is ready to be a positive influence. I love the veteran mentor MCVAY Rams bring to the organization. These guys come to WIN. Here is OBj being a class act.

Lance may not end up panning out, but the fact that Jones is better at this stage isn't surprising. Ultimately, the question with Jones is if he's anything more than what Jimmy G. is.

Let's hope Lance does not pan out and Jones is no better then Jimmy G. As I wish nothing but damnation to both franchises.
