He's got plenty of tread on the tires for sure........ If he is available I'd love seeing him on the roster

The guy's a beast. Always has been. Hugely underrated because of playing in Houston and having no help. He's still got it. Not remotely washed up but with the salary implications I don't think it would be possible.

I would trade a conditional pick. If we make the playoffs, a third round pick. If we don't, a fourth. That's a great haul for them for a older guy. Johnson still had 100+ catches and 1,400+ yards with terrible QB play.

That said I don't know how that would work cap wise. We need an upgrade at WR, he would give us that.

Sucks that his cap hit is so high. He's pretty much exactly what Sam needs right now at wideout.

Sorry but IMO this just another we needed to draft a rec. thread repackaged, I think Fisher and Snead made it clear,we've spent a lot of picks on wr. ,coach em up ,have em play.

In Madden mode: Andre for a 4th+ Austin Pettis.

But this isn't this FO's MO. They like to gain picks, not deal them away.
In Madden mode, you edit him into a defensive tackle, which he should be rated at about a 12 or so at, then trade a 7th rounder for him. The other team will jump on it immediately. Then you change him back to a WR. ;)

Whats the raiders cap look like? I knew they had like the most ever cap room before FA.

Would love to see this happen but I also would love to see the NFL admit the Pat's cheated and give out a 2nd Super Bowl ring for the GSOT. Neither of these seems likely

I didn't want to draft another young receiver to coach up in the draft. I agree, we already have plenty of that. I think Watkins is a little more raw than some believe too. he may end up being AJ Green or better, but he's not as polished as a prospect coming out. I wanted a cheap vet in FA that already knows his way around a NFL playbook, doesn't need time adjusting to the speed of the game, and can be a reliable target for Sam. As in, he'll be in the right place on hot reads, and already knows how to run the full route tree against any defensive formation. e.g. Mark Clayton, Brandon Lloyd, etc. (Though I guess Lloyd wasn't that cheap but you catch my drift.) Doesn't even have to be the best player in the world, just someone Sam can trust and rely on. Maybe Britt can end up being that guy, but I really question his motivation and maturity. Don't really see him as the type to stay after practice and catch balls from Sam. (No gay jokes lol)

That's Austin Pettis you're describing.
