And I still honestly like Tua and think he could be a good quarterback. They could absolutely be a perennial Super Bowl contender for years to come.
They may have a ton of picks yet they still have Tua and I am not sure the league is convinced on him.

If I'm Miami, It's the TE Pitts all the way at 6. Tua's new friend for life.

Agreed. Pitts would be my choice as well. I know they have Gesicki, but Pitts is like a big wide receiver.

Teams have the top picks normally are the ones who have NOT done the right things and are in the top mostly because they sucked and are now run by a news regime or the old regime has a last chance before they are all fired (only to start the process over again). As for pointing out the #1 and #5 picks in their respective drafts, they were still the diamonds in the rough that first year Although top draft picks have a better chance of being impact players than those picked in the lower rounds, the odds still suck that teams get it right. As vets and proven players, our odds go up dramatically by giving up the first round picks for proven commodities....
Yes, I agree that the odds flip, however, we did get Aaron Donald, Gurley, Brockers, Ogletree in the first round.

Snead and Fisher wanted an OLT pretty bad. Our pick was the one they used on Donald. If they didn’t have the second pick they likely pick Taylor Lewan and Donald would be elsewhere.

There is definite value to first round picks. But if you have a good team, then adding a guaranteed great like Ramsey for two late firsts it’s well worth it imo

Didn't Lewan go after Donald?
I may be wrong, but for some reason I thought we could have had both. Especially since we took Grob before Donald in the same draft. (Something I've tried to forget)

The Rams could have traded back with Buffalo.Repay the favor for moving up to get Tavon Austin.
The Bills switched with Atlanta gave them there 1st the following draft. They took Sammy Watkins in the deepest WR & Tackle group I’ve ever seen in all NFL drafts.
The Rams would have had there choice. Matthews was picked by the Falcons. The good news is The Rams have Sean Mcvay & Aaron Donald since the after math.
I think Les Snead has learned, but will do as the HC ask.He wants to be a liaison to the HC & (scouting)Demoff. He knows value by position.Works the draft board as good as any GM.

I thought he went at 14. Apparently not.

what I meant was that since the seemed to prioritize Left Tackle if they didn’t have the Skins first round pick at #2 and only have one pick maybe they pick Jewan James to play Lefy tackle instead of AD
