Carl Peterson was not only present for the Miami Dolphins' interview with Jeff Fisher on Tuesday, but the story persists that Peterson will take over as the Dolphins team president in the next few days.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that many team sources tell him that Peterson's role will be announced soon. Peterson and Dolphins owner Stephen Ross have a long-standing friendship that dates back to the mid-1980s.
Salguero also says Peterson met recently with Jon Gruden to determine if he had any interest in the Dolphins' job, which he apparently did not.
