Just got a SportsCenter update on my phone, he's been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team policies.

I know he doesn't apply for this years draft but figure since this is kinda a boring time for all of us, we can talk about the guy. Idk what he did, hopefully it's nothing too serious cause the guy got game! He's someone I'd kill to have next year!

Thoughts about him? Or thoughts about ANY player in the draft next year? (Yea... I'm that bored right now...)

My bet is he got caught with some organic medication again. Hard to say if he'll get cut but if he did, could he declare for the supplemental draft?

Police are doing something, more details to be announced later in the week. Isn't the dude an athletic freak? At least in terms of physical appearance and speed? How is he as a receiver in terms of route running, etc? Curious how much he's throwing away with his off the field stuff.

Dude is 6'6 and runs a 4.40. Did a good job this past year. Needs some work still, but if had kept his head on straight and kept progressing probably would have been the first wr taken next year and very early.

He's basically Calvin Johnson 2.0. Physical appearance is everything you want. He made a huge jump from last year to this year. He's going to get MUCH better with more playing time. Route running could be better but he's a sophomore. If he gets his head on right, he's going to be very good in the NFL, IMO.

Nope. Has to wait another year.

Can only dream of Bradford throwing to a Calvin Johnson 2.0. The thought of that... Oh my goodness lol.

The dude is already the best WR in CFB IMO. He would have been the 1st WR taken this year IMO. He needs to expand his route tree. But no one is going to out jump or out run this dude.

Good question. From what little I have seen of him though, this kid has future star written all over him. Of course if his future work outs are limited to the prison tarmac ......

Well this might be good news guys. Chances are we wont have another top 5 pick next year, maybe this will drop his stock enough.........doubt it though, but a man can dream.

#1 cfb recruit when he came n. Obviously not only immature but substance abuse problem. And dont tell me he's just a kid doing what we all did when we were his age. If you have a real good reason to quit you do. And he has a real good reason to quit but keeps runnin all the stop signs. Hope he gets some help so he can take advantage of his opportunity. We are talking top three pick here if he could have stayed out of trouble. This is third strike. Got arrested last year smokin weed in the parking lot of the training facility. Arrested again in springfield in a car with a pound of dope in it. Havnt heard yet what's going on now but doesn't take a genius to make a pretty good guess.

He's a local talent where I'm from. He was went to school at Hillcrest HS in Springfield MO. I was born in Springfield but lived just north of it in the country all my life.

Dang shame, probably the most prestine athlete to come out these parts, ever. Being we'll be drafting at 32 next year, I'm hoping he's within our range.

Absolute monster on the field. When he's out there... Freshman year he had problems learning the playbook and didn't get as much run as he should have. Soph yr saw a lot of progression but I believe they also simplified the playbook for him so he only had to know 1 reciever position. I'm a huge Mizzou fan so I've been watching this kid since day 1 and he's impressive. Just have some questions about his maturity and ability to study and learn the playbook.

Got suspended for being where he shouldn't be. Police aren't charging him from what I read. Just being in the car with the dope was enough for suspension this go round! Pinkel got fined a bunch of bucks for a dwi last year I think. MU don't play games!

The ten cent head doesn't sound like a sure fire top three trait.

Missouri dismisses wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham from Tigers’ football program

Missouri has dismissed wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham from its football program, the school announced on Friday.

Green-Beckham, the former top-ranked overall prospect in the class of 2012, was suspended indefinitely earlier this week for a violation of team rules. The suspension was reportedly linked to an alleged burglary at a Columbia apartment complex.

A Thursday report linked Green-Beckham with an altercation involving his girlfriend and two other women late Saturday night, but Columbia police said no arrests would be made in the case. Earlier on Friday, Green-Beckham released a statement to theSt. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I have been young and dumb,” the statement read. “I want to be better. During my suspension I’m entering counseling. With help, I know I can be stronger emotionally and spiritually.”

In a statement, Tigers coach Gary Pinkel said he made his decision with the entire program in mind.

“This decision was made with the best interests of all involved in mind,” Pinkel said in a prepared statement. “Dorial’s priority going forward needs to be focusing on getting the help he needs. As we have all along, we will continue to do everything we can to assist Dorial and his family. We care deeply about Dorial and his well-being, but hopefully he can benefit from a fresh start.”

Missouri athletic director Mike Alden echoed Pinkel’s statement, saying the standards are higher for student-athletes at the university.

“We have a high standard of conduct for our student-athletes,” Alden said. “Though we provide the resources and mentoring to all of our student-athletes, we are also responsible to the community at large and to the ideals and values of the University of Missouri. We have determined that this was a necessary step for our football team, athletic department, the University and our community.”

Green-Beckham recorded 59 catches for 883 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He racked up 6,353 receiving yards and 75 scores during his tenure at Hillcrest (Mo.) High. He was set to kick off his junior season this fall as the team’s leading returning receiver.

The Tigers were already without departed wideouts Marcus Lucas and L’Damian Washington, so Green-Beckham’s dismissal is yet another blow to the roster’s receiving corps. Keep an eye on returnees Bud Sasser and Jimmie Hunt, who will likely be expected to step up after finishing with 614 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2013.
