I have a feeling that Rivers is going to test the beasts in the middle. It's just in his DNA. He's going to hold the ball waiting on his receivers. Expect the Sacks to start rolling in during the battle for L.A.

I agree. Watched some of both Charger games and they like throwing downfield....should give us more sacks.

Both Chargers games were against sub-par secondaries. Even Bradford would have had a good game against either of them.

Rivers wants to test the Rams he could be in for a long day.

Who is the back up QB over there anyway?

Just when I thought my opinion of Hekker couldn’t go higher, he proved otherwise. This wouldn’t be the same team without Johnny Hekker, I’ll tell you that.

Would’t trade our 3 starting WR’s for any other corps in the league. Who’d a thunk I would say that after watching our ‘16 corps? Lol.

Two excellent points @Rams43

I think it will come when QBs think they are good enough to stand in and thread a needle and also see the run game not working as hoped.

Rivers will take his shots downfield for sure. But more so the point about the running game not working is a big one because other than throw it downfield your choice is to get shut out like the Cardinals or try to dink and dunk to keep up with the Rams offense. And that's a really bad plan. So if the D stifles the run game the sacks will follow.

So I'm watching GMFB on NFLN, and they question themselves about who is the best team in NFC, IF you exclude the Rams.....(Because they look unstoppable). WTF, I was waiting for some Rams coverage and they cut it out because they are too good? When did that ever stop the Patriot lovefest in the last decade?:gtfo:
