From CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/10/us/us-jerry-jones-sex-assault-allegation/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

(CNN)
-- A former exotic dancer has filed a lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, accusing him of sexual assault.

In the suit filed Monday in Dallas County, Jana Weckerly claims that Jones assaulted her in 2009 and that the Dallas Cowboys knew about and covered up the incident.

Weckerly is seeking "monetary relief of over $1,000,000," according to the suit.

Reaction from the Cowboys was swift.

Levi McCathern, an attorney representing the Cowboys, called the allegations "completely false" and "a shakedown."

"The legal complaint is unsupported by facts or evidence of any kind," McCathern said in a written statement. "This is nothing more than an attempt to embarrass and extort Jerry Jones."

Weckerly's attorney says his client is in hiding. The suit claims that the 2009 incident caused the 27-year-old to fear for her life.

In the aftermath, the suit says, Weckerly has suffered depression, dealt with substance abuse and has attempted suicide.

The suit is not clear on exactly when the alleged assault occurred, saying it happened "sometime in May or June." But the suit alleges that the owner penetrated Weckerly with his fingers and forced her to touch his genitals without her consent.

McCathern pledged to fight the complaint. He added that law enforcement is now involved "due to the seriousness of these baseless allegations."

My own note: Me personally, I don't know if it's true or not and won't really speculate other than wonder why someone would wait 5 years to sue the person if it really happened. It, however, could cause a distraction and distance Jones from the rest of the NFL owners

I'm not a fan of Jerry Jones but this seems very unlikely to me. From what I can tell, this girl's story makes little sense and it's so far after the fact that it is highly suspicious.

If you're assaulted, why wait so long? She'll get some hush money and go away.

Likely untrue, but couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Not knowing when it happened, does not really help her case.

Uncle Jerry's got something in his pocket for you. He's got something in his pocket, won't you see what it is?

Now he just needs to bribe a casino owner, hire a mob lawyer and punch a Green Bay fan, then he could almost qualify to own the 49ers. Except the 49ers owner actually paid his woman the hush money.

I don't know what happened, but if she was giving him a lap dance, I could see the possibility of an assault like that. I knew a guy, he's long since dead, who was a sportswriter, and I found out he did something like that, in fact, he admitted it. He was getting a lap dance and he stuck out his tongue and there was contact.

Jones is an admitted drinker, and if he had too much, and was in that situation, I think it could happen. Again, not saying it did, or even if this was a lap dance. But just because she's an exotic dancer doesn't mean she's lying and given the situation, I described, I doubt the girl who was assaulted by that sportswriter could name the day it happened, and I doubt she quit her job . . . you could make it a "hazard of the job" . . . but I dunno.

My God...

I have the image of sarcophagus face trying to get his groove on with this chick stuck in my head. It's a fucking disgusting scene.

Well, maybe that's what this was. I wasn't suggesting that it was in a strip club . . . I meant in a suite, penthouse at maybe a hotel or something like that. But I might also suggest "high-class escort" is an oxymoron.
