lol this is hilarious.. Bernie said something along the lines of "If I was their parents (receivers), I'd be embarrassed."

Yea... I'd be embarrassed too if my son was playing in the NFL, right... unlike your daughter who is a porn star, which is like the #1 thing a father never wants of his daughter.

Lexxi Silver - look it up. (Thanks PFT comment section! lol)

Oh come on you guys.....

If the Browns had played the 49ers and Kosar spouted off with that same bullshit you'd all be laughing and talking about how funny he was. I understand being angry because he dissed our guys and in a couple of instances didn't know what he was talking about but this is not that big of a deal. Like I've been saying Charles Barkley says way harsher things about players all the time.

I like Kosar, I'm from CLE, I don't dig some of what he said, but I'm not upset about it because it doesn't matter. It's a pre season vanilla game called by a guy who is a lifetime Brown and has no filter.

Well you listen here Mr. Savant ( probably the only one EVER from Cleveland) if you want to throw your arse in the middle of this feeding frenzy, don't expect your friends to bail you out.

Sometimes I let my mouth overload my arse, and I'm not even FROM Cleveland.

But ya GOTTA admit,it's pretty dumb to talk about parents being ashamed when your OWN kid has such a "high profile" job description,BTW I don't think people who WATCH porn are in any position to judge people who produce it except on quality :omg:

I really wish Fisher hadn't said anything about it, not that what he said was in any way out of line , it's just that there was no need, others were taking care of slamming Kosar anyway and it probably would have been best had he remained above the fray.
Sorta think ESK probably would have rather not had him go all Buddy Ryan there but he IS from that coaching tree.

OBTW Dan Lebatard =dumbass sour grapes asshat.

Jane, you ignorant slut. Trying to employ the double standard argument on me? Not gonna work. Because OF COURSE I'd laugh if he did that to the 49ers. Know why? Because I'm not a 49ers fan. My only problem was that he was lighting up the RAMS players and the RAMS' coaches in a game that I waited to see for a very long time. I was excited about it. Pumped. And then I ended up having to listen to Don Johnson after about 5 long island iced teas, rip into the players I was excited to see (sans Clemens, but that doesn't excuse it) and the coaches (Sherman in particular). So, I went to bat for them. If that was Jim Brown making those comments, I'd call him a douche too. That's right. I'd call a legend .... a douche.

I mean, I'm over it now, but at the time I was plenty irritated.

I remember that at the time we heard that it was a truly ground breaking thing to say on TV. I think I had to do a double take before I started laughing my balls off.

I just read Kellen Clemons comments about all this, pretty classy, I like him better now.

Albe the ancient reminisces:

Yeah Al ,back then the NBC affiliate in Paducah KY (which is what was THEN in a "dry county" still several around KY Lake) did not carry SNL , friends and I had to go to Jackson MO where the cable company ( the Cape Gir. CBS affiliate was keeping cable out of that city through politics) carried all the St. Louis stations and watch SNL in a little bar,"Kathy's La Cantina" which was OK cuz Kathy was desperate and would give us free beer if we ordered food.

Kosar is an idiot plain and simple, and I think it's hilarious how some of these cleveland fans are reacting. He criticizes our play calling for a screen, but then praises the browns for doing the exact same thing.. Was really one of the worst and most obvious color commentating i've seen.. I was neutral toward the browns before this game - i'll root against the now (especially with steeler fans around me.)

Bernie is an a loud mouthed idiot who didn't do anything more than make himself look bad - but I thought it was hilarious they took him off the air...especially making a comment about how those receiver's parents should be embarrassed - after all, he should know all about being an embarrassed parent

I'm not defending his half a dozen or more dumbass remarks at all. I don't like them either. I just don't understand why people are so butt hurt over them.

I think all those guys who are should go rub one off to one of his daughters movies and feel like they got revenge and then move on. That's what I did and it really helped a lot. :jerkoff:

FFS he is on the money when it comes to Clemens eh.

Kosar speaks his mind without thinking. His comments were very disrespectful and he's got so many problems of his own, he doesn't need to be bashing the Rams like that. Calling Tavon Austin horrible, disrespecting jeff fisher, etc.

I don't like Clemens, but Kosar took it too far. You can't say that on a live broadcast. I don't like Bernie and never will.

If a guy the caliber of Kosar is a hero to your franchise that is a sad, sad state of affairs. The last time Cleveland had a great run as a football organization Elvis was still skinny. To see these clowns embrace a drunken embarassment like Kosar speaks to both their understanding as football fans and to their intelligence level. Kosar was not entertaining. If I want to listen to a marble mouthed drunk wax on about the Browns I can go to my local sports bar. Most fans express their fandom in moronic ways. Cubs fans (in the city of Chicago anyway), deep deep down, dont want the Cubs to win. It is much easier to hang onto the "lovable loser" self image. Its the same reason idiot SF Giants fans get off of chanting "beat LA" when they have 2 out of the last three World Series....they never evolve beyond that. Its no different with Browns fans. They love to lose and to claim to be the victims of bad luck or cursed. No. The Browns organization is just terrible. No more explaination needed. If the owners of the team enjoy having someone so unprofessional represent their team and not even be able to stay sober doing it, that tells you all you need to know about where the Browns are and where they are going.

HUH?
Ratigliano, Shottenheimer, Brian Sipe, those guys were good and Elvis was dead or dying.

Someone needs to post that on one of the Browns forums. Too funny.

Not sure if Bernie was actually drunk or "punchy" Either way, I personally don't take too much offense to this, it would be different had it been live on National TV.

This can only (imo) serve the wide receiving corps well heading to game 1.

OK - now I'm pissed. I went to post that video on the browns board and it says "you cannot reply to this topic".

Anyone else want to give it a shot? Screen Name "HouseOfPain" Password: KosarSucks
