This is different. SK can't claim he is losing money like Georgia did, plus if the stadium issue gets resoved that's the end of it. Goergia had legit stadium complaints to a degree.

There actually aren't that may parallels here other than it's the Rams in the conversation.
The parallel that matters is this....the owner will do what he wants.
Fans don't matter. The Rams had decade after decade of great attendance and a large loyal following in So Cal and got crapped on. The fans in St. Louis have been excellent, loyal and very patient and will likely get crapped on. It sucks.
When I was a kid and started working the first thing I did was save up money and bought season tickets. I went to every home game, except pre season games, including the last home game. Hoping against hope. There is a proposal which is more that The Witch had with LA, so, that helps certainly.
Put it this way. If any one of us owned a deli, for example, we are making money and have a loyal customer base and we had an offer for a better location, a new building with a better set up and lease in a higher traffic area most of us would move our business. There would be some regulars that would be put off and maybe even talk to us about it....how they won't be able to go to our deli anymore and will miss it greatly. At the end of the day, those customer wouldn't factor into our decision very much. Many would take the improved business prospects, some would not. Probably a poor example but the owner is going to make his decision based on business, not feelings. Kinda sucks, but, it is how it is.

It's funny how differently we view sports from other aspects of life.

Let's say Tru Johnson signs a big contract with the 49ers this offseason. What would many fans call him? They would call him a traitor - except most would spell it trader.

We expect players to be loyal to the colors. We expect them to work harder than the competition, to live football, and most importantly, be here for us. Dont abandon us for another team, hold out, or even have the audacity to get injured - especially if you have been injured before.

These are the expectations - but do we put ourselves in the same boat? If the Rams leave, will you jump ship? Will you become disinterested? Or will you stay as loyal as we all seem to want the players to be?
