I came across news the Bills were building a new stadium and the Titans have one under construction too. Both are set to open in 2026.

I hadn’t seen pictures before, here are a few. More at the links.

Buffalo Bills

An open air 60,000-62,000 seat stadium to include stacked seating and a canopy overhang to protect fans from the elements.

The canopy will cover 65% of the seats and help protect against wind and precipitation. It will work together with the perforated multidimensional exterior skin of the stadium that creates wind confusion to prevent swirling winds from getting to the field level.

Tennessee Titans

An enclosed 60,000 seat stadium with high-tech ETFE translucent roof same as SoFi.

Outside of that Titans one looks atrocious.

I was reading some Bills fans and find it comical. They say teams like Miami should have indoor stadiums because of the heat like they experienced this year. Yet the Bills themselves shouldn't have to have an indoor stadium to take advantage of their weather :D

I can’t imagine the energy it will take to cool that Titans stadium during the peak of summer.

Im loving the new NFL stadiums they are building around the US rather the classic old school ones. That one they proposed in STL looked like shit.

Oh more buildings named after/sponsored by corporations instead of an important, influential man or woman or anything related to the sport or the team that occupies it.

So cool.

I like it.
It's different than any other stadium.

I wish the Tenants would start building one far away from OUR LA. Their stink lingers in our building.

That Titans building looks great to me. Multi-functional, "roof top garden" area, lots of peripheral hang-out spaces. Fits it's downtown context well & looks very modern, though I'd take that Titans logo & move it up & make it have an affect on the roof slope.
That said, just had a reunion with my architecture classmates from '93, we're all commenting on younger designers & the "minecraft" effect - they don't draw with pencils / pens anymore, and it shows.

Interesting observation. You'd think there'd still need to be some creation by hand even if it's via an e-pen on a computer screen instead of on paper. Of course, with the way things are going I'm surprised there isn't AI just doing architecture these days.

Yeah, they just seem to not be very smart in the State of New York because if they had put a roof on Metlife Stadium at the Meadowlands, it would have led to more Super Bowls being played there and thus more revenue. Not that they would get a Super Bowl in Western, NY because they lack the number of Hotel accommodations, but give me a damn break. You now have the technology to do it and although it cost more, overall the added venues for the roof would be a major asset.

I agree. The outdoor areas are pretty cool.
