Pharoh Cooper, he only caught 2 passes, but he showed off his YAC ability, played both outside and slot, and both of his catches got a first down. There hasn't been a ton of buzz about him in the offseason, OTAs especially, he was becoming a forgotten man in the WR corps.

I have been very cool to Pharoh Cooper's future here before this pre season . However I warmed up to him after this one game.Pharoh Cooper had some opps but when four highly rated & talented WR's Sammy Watkins, Mike Thomas, Tavon Austin & Josh Reynolds start to practice the heat :fuelfire:will really turn up on Pharoh Cooper.

I hate to admit it but P Cooper. Why you ask? Cause my buy, Spruce, is going to be a numbers casualty. Spruce caught everything thrown his way. We all have said that last year at camp and this year. But where is his YAC?

P. Cooper impressed me a lot and I have to say goodbye to my man Spruce.

Everett is another one that impressed. And guess what? My man was Higbee. I would say as of today Higbee is number 4 TE, just above Wilson, since his run blocking sucked so bad. I thought he had that figured out in camp.

I was pleasantly surprised with Mannion. Especially after reading less than flattering things about him out of camp.

He made quick solid decisions and his passes looked good.

Marqui Christian for me, 100%. Was always around the ball making plays.
I knew Marqui was good when the Cardinals lamented losing him trying to sneak him through the practice squad for a couple weeks while they brought in a guy for special teams.

Mannion is to quarterbacks what Havenstein is to right tackles.

A big clunky looking galoot that somehow gets the job done.

He played a little in the 3rd or 4th. Made a good tackle, but fairly quiet.

McVay mentioned that he missed most of the offseason programs and was still catching up on the Defense learning side of things. . . .John Johnson that is.

I'd second the Ejuan Price stuff. He showed some really good motor. He'll need to get stronger but I feel he is a good Wade Phillips fit.

Joyner is going to be a player at FS. He is so instinctual when the play is in front of him.

Hemingway got open a few times, I would have loved to see him hold onto that post route that he got blown up on.

Everett played pretty good.

Pharoah Cooper looked pretty good. And for those saying he hasn't been hyped much. I've heard McVay mention him multiple times, and I've seen McVay out there covering him in practice videos.

Our Pass protection was far better than I imagined. Run blocking still needs some help. But having a passing game is going to help that.

Anyone notice our routes aren't all within 6 yards and all outs or slants?

Don't forget that Cooper is the heir apparent at kick returner and the backup punt returner.

Yep your right Soul Surfer, This 2016 4th round selection seems to fit the generally good at most all things mantle, but is not exceptional @ any one thing but that. With Kupp, Watkins, Woods & Austin all ahead of him in depth has him in a serious fight with Josh Reynolds, Paul McRoberts, Shakeir Ryan & Mike Thomas for the final 5th or 6th Ram WR roster spot or spots.

Cooper is also a Kamikaze on special teams as well as a more than adequate backup running back.

I was able to watch him pretty extensively in college and he is just an all-around excellent football player and positive teammate.

He also has a decent arm on him for trick plays as well as reverses from the wide receiver position and is a third-down back catching passes out of the backfield.

He was exciting. His speed reminds me of Gurley when he was in college.

We've only seen flashes of that speed out of Gurley since he's been a pro.
