Consistently Great
Former Rams RB Steven Jackson has rushed for 1,000+ yards in each of the last eight seasons, the longest current streak in the NFL. In fact, only 3 players have had longer streaks in their career: Emmitt Smith rushed for 1,000 yards in 11 straight seasons, while Curtis Martin and Barry Sanders each did it for 10 straight seasons (Sanders in all 10 seasons of his NFL career). The only other backs in NFL history to do so in eight straight seasons are Thurman Thomas and LaDainian Tomlinson. All five of those players are either in the Hall of Fame or expected to be in Tomlinson's case. Is Jackson as well?

Jenkins joins elite company
The St. Louis Rams' Janoris Jenkins tied for the most interception returns for touchdowns last season with three (Charles Tillman, Bears). Jenkins' three interception returns for touchdowns are tied for the most in NFL history for a player in his rookie season, along with Hall of Famers Ronnie Lott in 1981 (49ers) and Lem Barney in 1967 (Lions). Jenkins also returned a fumble for a touchdown in his rookie season, giving him four total touchdowns. By comparison, the Rams rushed for a total of five touchdowns in 2012.

Super Bowl excellence
Former St. Louis Rams quarterback and current NFL Network analyst Kurt Warner has played in three Super Bowls in his career. Warner holds the record for most passing yards in a Super Bowl, with 414 yards in the Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV win against the Tennessee Titans. Warner also has the second and third most passing yards in Super Bowl history in his other two appearances: 377 yards in Super Bowl XLIII for the Cardinals in a defeat to the Steelers, and 365 yards in the Rams' Super Bowl XXXVI loss to the Patriots. His 1,156 passing yards in three Super Bowls is one more yard than New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has thrown for in his six career playoff starts.

Most prolific dual-threat back
Marshall Faulk is the best dual-threat running back of all time. Of the 27 backs who have rushed for at least 10,000 yards, Faulk has at least 1,400 more receiving yards than each of them. Faulk's 6,875 receiving yards and 36 receiving touchdowns are by far the most of any running back with 10,000 or more rushing yards. Marcus Allen's 5,411 receiving yards and Thurman Thomas' 23 receiving touchdowns rank second on the list.

Off to a fast start
Everyone knows Eric Dickerson holds the single-season rushing record with 2,105 yards in 1984. A good amount of people know Dickerson accomplished the feat in just his second NFL season. However, not many know Dickerson also rushed for 1,808 yards as a rookie, giving him a total of 3,913 yards in his first two NFL seasons. That is by far the most rushing yards for a player in his first two NFL seasons. Edgerrin James is second on the list with 3,262 yards, or 651 fewer yards than Dickerson.

Video game good
Willie "Flipper" Anderson holds the NFL record for receiving yards in a game with 336 against the New Orleans Saints, accomplished during a Week 12 game during the 1989 season. Anderson had 15 receptions in the game from quarterback Jim Everett, while the Saints completed a total of 13 passes that day.

Playoff drought
The St. Louis Rams have not made the playoffs since 2004, a streak of eight consecutive seasons. That is the longest streak in the NFC. In fact, each of the other 15 NFC teams have actually made the playoffs within the past six years. There have been seven different NFC teams to make the Super Bowl since the Rams last made the playoffs (49ers, Giants, Packers, Saints, Cardinals, Bears and Seahawks).

Greatest tandem ever?
Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt had five seasons as teammates where they each had more than 1,000 yards receiving. That is the most for teammates in NFL history, with Keenan McCardell and Jimmy Smith of the Jaguars, and Cris Carter and Jake Reed of the Vikings combining for four such seasons.

Night-time robbery
Pro Football Hall of Famer Dick "Night Train" Lane holds the record for most interceptions in a single-season with 14, set all the way back in 1952. That was Lane's rookie season, in a campaign with only 12 games. No player has had more than 10 interceptions in a season since Everson Walls had 11 for the Dallas Cowboys in 1981.

The Deacon
Recently deceased Hall of Famer Deacon Jones had three seasons with at least 20 sacks before the stat became official, according to the Rams' media guide. Since sacks became an official stat in 1982, there have only been a total of nine 20-plus sack seasons and no player has multiple 20-sack seasons.
