According to his list unless you like Curtis Samuel (WR/RB) from Ohio State, Mayock doesn't think a WR is very worthy of selecting at #37

Obviously we have no clue how the Rams draft board will be stacked when they adjust it after the first round ends but lots of people have been skeptical that the Rams would select a WR with their 2nd round pick unless they traded back.

As of today, it seems like a WR won't be drafted any earlier than the 3rd round. Nobody can be sure without seeing the Rams draft board but I highly doubt they will wait until the 4th round.

Maybe they will wait if the WR's keep falling like a ball dropped from the top of an extremely high water dam.

I really feel like Kittle would have to be taken with the 3rd rounder. He tested better than Ebron who went at 10 in 2014. And he blocks! No one will care about the difference in using a 3rd on this guy in 3 years IMO. He won't be there in the 4th, but I'd be faster than Usain Bolt to the podium if he lasts that long.

My hope is the Rams walk out of rounds 2 and 3 with Chris Godwin and Jourdan Lewis. Then get a Center in round 4 and it's gravy.

After our first pick, which I guess should be BPA(?) I'd imagine our primary goal is to figure out a way to secure either Elflein or Pocic, then grab the best WRs (or another OL) for a few rounds, unless that was our 37.BPA already.

Two things I'm absolutely sure of after reading this list! Will maybe a few more than that!!
Let's just say, If you look at this list after the Top 100 are picked, there will be a drastic difference in the order and there will be a bunch of these players NOT picked in the Top 100! Even IF they deserve to go in the Top 100!JMHO:D

Wow Engram 4 spots higher than Davis, I will do backflips if we can snag Corey Davis, even if a trade up is required. He's worth it!

I am curious to see if Mayock's evals have improved at all. He decided to hit the road more this year and do his own evaluations. In recent years he was relying on scout connections and the grapevine.

It is interesting to see that he only has Samuels as a second round receiver. I have seen plenty of Samuels as the runningback and he doesn't strike me as a game changer. I wouldn't want him over some of the guys bandied about around this forum. I have seen plenty of Godwin and still think he is worthy of a second round pick.

By Mike's judgement it really seems that a pass rusher may be a good value around 37. He has Watt and Willis there. I'd be fine with that. Good 3/4 pass rushers are hard to find. The Rams need at least one more.

IF the Players where to go in Mayocks order, The Rams could get Both Cooper Kupp and JuJu Smith-Schuster in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and then go Center in the 4th! I would prefer them to your two WR's. I think.

I don't like 37. If we sit there a lot of guys we really want may be gone.

Then we probably need to move back.

Man - are 3 tight ends gonna be gone by 37?

Engram is more or less a big WR. O J Howard isn't an NFL blocker at TE either. I think they easily could. It's all about the mismatches.

If you read a few of these they are not all nearly the same.

Everyone will want to move back in this draft. This is one draft where moving up will be very, very easy. As to who's there at 37, take a look at the variety of guys they have interviewed who might go in that neighborhood:

TE Engram
WR Ross
WR Jones
OL Feeney
OL Dawkins
OL Lamp
CB Jackson

Not to say their preferences are limited to those, in fact if they covet one of these guys one could argue they might make a pretense of not being interested. So I do think they'd be more than happy to move back if an offer came out, provided a guy they covet isn't sitting there.

I keep hearing that word "explosive" from the recent interview... And praying they don't covet Ross.

If we are patient and not desperate, we will have two or three options of first round talent drop to us at 37, guaranteed.

I couldn't agree more, Ramrasta! And McVay and Snead said as much in there Final presser before the Draft!!
They Talked about " Not Reaching" and finding the "Best BPA" that " Fits our scheme at any given position"!!(y):D

I can't wait to see who falls out of the 1st round to see what the Rams have a shot at!:D

I expect that ROD will be very active tonight, after the 1st round is over, with discussions on "Who the Rams have a shot at!!(y);):mrburnsevil:

Maybe I missed him but I scrolled through it twice. How does he not have Chris Godwin in the top 100? that would be a hell of a 3rd round pick if he fell that far but I have a hard time believing it.
