Only us real fans seen these throws last year. Goff has the arm talent to be elite and now with weapons around him he is showing the world he deserved to be the #1 pick.

I agree with a 60% chance. He had to leave his feet, fully stretch and secure the ball before he hit the ground. All of this with a really hot ball from Goff. I think he drops it because he's a little early bringing his arms in for the ground impact. At least that's how I see it.

Tough but catchable.

still hurts
Yeah.

I was in my bedroom because I had to have my foot elevated due to an Achilles strain - and my wife was out on the couch. Right after that play I yelled out "OH MY GOD! NOOO!!!" and my wife came running into the room panicked. "What's wrong?!?! What's the problem?"

I watched it and what I saw was Goff looking left and and coming back to Kupp and firing a nice (not perfect) pass. Could it have been more inside and less hot? Yes..... But has anyone considered that the route was not run as inside as it may have been called for? It's possible... But ultimately.... Fuck..... Learn and keep Rollin. On to the next. Oh, and @-X-.... Stop bringing up ol' shit!!! I am going to be at the Rams / Queens game in MN next month. Ya want I should get Bradford and Keenum to autograph a Viqueens jersey for ya?? !! :)

I was feeling down after that game. Not because we lost, but because we had them. They are who we thought they were....AND WE LET THEM OFF THE HOOK!

I like that KayJay. And they ARE who we thought they were. Too bad the talking heads are now propping them up again. Ugggh. That makes it worse. It should have been like this....

Now they are up and alive again...:cautious:

I know this much. Like, 100% know this.
If that was Bradford, there would've already been several "he has no touch on his passes" comments.

And you know what our response would be: It hit the WR in the hands; he needs to catch it. That's what I said about this ball. Goff put too much mustard on it, but Kupp still needs to reel that in. Both players are at fault.

..

i wonder if sammy would of caught it. he was right there with a step on sherman and if goff put that much zing on the throw sherman was no chance of getting his hands near the ball.

If I recall correctly, even though it doesn't seem like it, Kupp is a rook and this was his 5th NFL game. And, a lot of pressure to make that catch; 1st place on the line, division rival, home game, catch you win/drop you lose, etc.

Hopefully, he learns from it, shrugs this off and gears up to catch a ton more for years to come...starting next week!

Nah. That was a beautiful throw. On the freaking money. 100% on Kupp.

I think that's a little unfair...The ball was thrown in front of him, but in a catchable spot...It was thrown really hard, but catchable if it's not thrown in front of him...Can't necessarily have it both ways...My opiinion, of course...

A couple of points...

1. It shouldn't have been that close to begin with. We really should have been up by double digits early in this one.
2. I was excited to see them march down the field that damn quick with a minute to play!!!
3. McVay and Goff did well in that 1:00 offense!! With Fisher as the helm.....lololololololol.
4. Goff now has 12 total games under his belt. 12!! Still not a full season worth of games. I love what I see. With this coach, offense, and a season or two under his belt, I think I'll love what I see. I already am.
5. In the past I would have come away thinking...ugh...this is a 6-10 or 5-11 team. I still came away thinking this is a 9 or 10 win team. After watching 5 games so far, I honestly believe we are capable of winning every game we play. That makes it exciting. Clean up some of these major mistakes! Gel a little more on both sides of the ball. And we're still contenders.

YOU are too funny! I saw this thread and thought of the years you defended Bradford against all comers at the PD mostly. Was it Old Larry that you fought with most about this?

ANYWAY, I watched the above video and thought he zipped the ball in there like Bradford would have and maybe it had too much mustard on it...then you said what you said. Goff does have better "touch" than Sam did, but Goff was making sure no INTs on this play so he gunned it.....Too bad for Kupp couldn't hold on...

I feel sick after re-watching that...

Any other day and Kupp brings it in.

BUT

I love how composed Goff is in the play, no panic, no dancing feet - it was a play to win the game and the guy looks as cool as cr@p -
