Wow, the Raiders are going to stink this year, I think they are in line for that #1 pick.
If they were really stupid they would pick Clowney. Watched that guy sucking air in the FIRST quarter the other night and wondered what all the hype was about.

One highlight is good enough for the LOSER franchises, but not for us.

Clowney's conditioning is a big question mark but he's the real deal. If you watched the entire UNC-SC game, UNC's entire game-plan was to stay away from Clowney and he made mince-meat out of anyone in front of him when not gassed.

Clowney is as good as he's billed. Freakish athlete with the power to push around big OTs, the speed to win the corner, the flexibility to turn the corner, the violent hands to shed blocks, the instincts to be a force in both the running and passing game and ideal size/length.

It'll be up to NFL teams to figure out if he has the heart/work ethic but in terms of what he has as a player, he's a Julius Peppers type talent. True freak of nature.

I'm talking a 6'6" 270+ pound DE with legitimate 4.5 speed and the ability to bullrush 320+ pound OTs effectively. And to make matters even worse for any OT against him, he actually has pass rush moves at this stage in his development. He's probably the best defensive prospect since Peppers.

Flynn: 13 drives, 10 pts
Pryor: 10 drives, 26 pts

Tonights game:
Flynn: 3/6, 19 yds, 2 INT's
Pryor: 7/9, 93 yds, 1 TD, 37 yds rushing, 1 Rushing TD

All signs point to Pryor performing better. Why not make him the starter and see how things go? The Raiders have to do something.

Go ahead. Flynn won't get it done behind their OL. At least Pryor can move...but he's still a bad QB.
I'm just saying if this was the Rams QB situation, which would you choose? Pryor or Flynn? Give the guy a chance.

Different situation. If I were Oakland's coach, I'd start Pryor. Their OL is a mess and Flynn won't be able to get it done with his lack of mobility behind that unit.

You act like a player cant improve. Im not saying that hes rogers or peyton but hes improved on his accuracy and decision making. Reminds me of cam newton or collin kap

He's nothing like Newton. And while Kaepernick improved, he also is with two great offensive minds. You can see his visible improvement in his technique.

It's not there with Pryor. He hasn't improved. He's as awful in terms of technique as he ever was. The guy throws jump passes for gosh sake. And it's not a rare thing. He doesn't set his feet, he doesn't utilize hitch steps consistently, he gets happy feet in the pocket and he has issues getting past his 2nd read. He's a guy that wants to take off after that first read.

Pryor will probably have him a couple nice games but he'll also prove yet again that he's not a NFL caliber passer.

Is there any indication that the Raiders would be open to running a read-option offense to tailor to his skill set?

Yes it is there.

There was talk about "packages" just for Pryor before the 1st preseason game. And there were a couple of those used during the preseason games.

not sure what you mean ... before 2012 the Rams lost more games over a 10-year span than any other NFL team

I don't think that is how the Rams or any other team in the NFL operates

Pryor. He hasn't improved.

Not true, he's improved considerably. If he didn't improve, he would have been cut.

He has improved considerably in reading defenses, knowing where his WR's are supposed to be, and picking up blitzes.

It is a given that he has a long way yet to go. But with some on the job training, hopefully he will continue to make progress.

The difference in Pryor and kap is kap has playmakers around him to take the pressure off of him. If McFadden can stay healthy and run the ball that would help and he really dont have any receivers. Ford has to step up. Pryor has improved but just like sam you can only do so much with nothing around you. Pryor was a beast in college give him some help and he could be decent
